Spamus' Imperial Knight Project
Like several of you I broke down and got a Knight Titan, cause it's awesome However, I wasn't satisfied with the lack of an interior and a cockpit, so I have set about rectifying that. There is a ton of room inside it to place a cockpit as well as a powerplant. Once finished, the top carapace will be able to lift off as well as the access hatch. Also magnets will be involved! I'm having a ton of fun with this kit and felt the need to show off a bit. Here's my WIP shots!
Basic plan for command couch. A sentinel chair and pilot, with a headswap and extra bitz to round it out. The part on top is from the turret on the stormraven.
Test fitting the interior
Command chair with extra gubbins attached.
Cockpit interior with more bitz tossed in

I was thinking that as well, I'm really liking the diamond/scale pattern so far.

How exactly are you doing the scaling? I'm assuming you're painting over a template for the pattern, then hitting it with a wash....

Spray piece light red
Lay down patterened material (in this case, it was the scrubby side of a dishcloth that I removed)
Spray piece darker red (will leave the light alone under the material)
Wash with seraphim sepia and red glaze

As soon as it's done, we'll have to see it on the battlefield!

Are you going to leave it open, or magnetize the lid?

Re: Spamus' Imperial Knight Project
No need to do anything too fancy, the top plate pops on and off easily enough. I might try to do something with the hatch if I can.
