Also it just has a 5+ invul from a "Riptide Shield Generator". Which makes it a bit easier to shoot.

Also if you volloy fire it can't shoot for a whole turn now? dunno if that changed

They nerf'd the shit out of it is what they did. It's still good don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, but that AP3 was amazing. AP4 is just meh.

EDIT: They also removed his ability to take 2 support systems and can now only take a positional relay and a stimulant injector.

Good eye, that did change. I compared it to the old PDF and biggest changes are support system restrictions, volley fire, and AP4. So, still good, but not a "must buy" anymore.

Well the support system thing was people wanted to take it with the ECPA. Which was silly.

So heres the important bit. Now that its much more reasonable, are people comfortable with me fielding such a thing? I ask because i have an awesome conversion in the works.

Now that MEQs can actually try to save against it, it shouldn't be too too bad. AP4 is still good enough for it to do exactly what its fluff says it does, though.

On a result of 1-2, the R’varna fails and suffers a wound (no
saves of any kind may be taken, and the wound cannot be
negated by the Feel No Pain special rule).

This is another important snippet someone else picked up. Changed the wording that you cannot get FnP against the Nova reactor. Will be interesting to see if GW follows suit with a FAQ to the Tau codex.
