dI'd think the former. 2 rune priests with 5 man GH ea.
Side note. Add the Talon and raven, and give Long Fangs the ability to take flakk for +10. Mostly fixed. Now someone create a wolf discipline:)

hahaha, wasn't going to play it i'm working on some bikes and was theory listing allied wolves for a Runepriest with Divination and read JoWW for the first time ever this evening.
ultimate MC counter tho, riptide? Wraithknight? nids? poof. Concussive only works on models that take a wound from it, so against most stuff it doesn't matter cuz it would already be dead. Could put a real hurt big stuff though.

You know what is even funnier, White Scars with Thunder Hammers and H&R. *Bonk* "run away!" *gets JAWW'ed*
Either way it requires a lot of stuff to go right and I don't see either combo being particularly good. Versus most stuff just dropping and throwing a JAWW has the same chance. Or just keeping on shooting with Grav-guns.
*Also this was on Frontline gaming since the SM codex came out, so not a terribly new idea for 40k, just our community.

I think it'd work. It's not that scary, gotta pass a Psychic Test, then you get a Deny the Witch (4-6, depending on who), and you still get another roll to save yourself, and both things are at a 24" range.

I remember facing jaws in 5th with crons. God that was nasty, was always suprised, with the number of low initiative units, more ppl don't take em in 6th allied. Pleasantly surprised of course.

Almost every army should have a runepriest in it. On a 4+, he gets to deny blessings...

Most people have enough of a conscience around here to not bother, the Runepriest is always a staple at big Astronomicon events however.
As far as grav guns working with JotWW it's something that's been obvious since the SM Codex dropped although people overstimate it since MC's get +1 to the roll (so a 1 or a 2 keeps you safe). The short range of the components involved also limit how bad this actually is. Like Mark said avoiding a Rune Priest isn't too difficult, much less avoiding one who has a joined a unit with an 18' gun...if you waddle your Wraithknight (who moves 12' btw) over to a Rune Priest in a unit containing grav guns you deserve to have the combo happen

I think a couple physcic screams would do the job just as well and not hard to do with drop pods
just more grav guns would be a better choice imho
