Dimensional Key Tactics
I dreamt up a list to make a few terrible units good.
Namely, Warp Talons, Daemon Princes (my opinion), Mutilators, and Raptors (Jury's out), and Terminators...
Anyway.
A Daemon Prince, especially a Slaanesh marked one with wings, can potentially get a 1st turn charge off (especially if your opponent goes first). If you do get this charge off (with some help of an unsuspecting opponent) You can unlock the key's power on turn 1. This will mean everything within 12" of the Daemon Prince will treat all terrain as difficult and dangerous (not bad, really reduces incoming charges) and you can then do risky deepstrikes with your blinding Warp Talons, and really close deepstrikes with Mutilators. Mutilators are a bit scary for a lot of non-horde units.
This would allow you to put a lot of threat on the table in very specific spots. Same with Terminators with mixed power weapons.
Food for thought. It's not a list I'll be running, to be honest. Looking at a 170ish point unit of Warp Talons makes me think, "Heldrake is a much better investment".

Re: Dimensional Key Tactics
problem is that
* your letting your opponent go first,
*then putting a 260+ point daemon prince on the table 24 inches away from the other guy
* and then hoping that he:
A) moves forward a bit so you can get your charge off
B) doesn't shoot you down.
Seems like a lot of fail-able if/then statements to me maybe if you could have two of them =/
Its really just a bad piece of un-thought-out gear that will never be useful. Truthfully, it should have been two separate items and then they wouldn't have had to make the proc conditions so stupid. the terrain thing could be a straight up copy of the transmog staff, and the deep strike thing COULD HAVE JUST BEEN LEFT ON GOD DAMN ICONS/BANNERS YOU FUCKING RETARDED DEVS...
Er. sorry. still some un-resolved issues with accepting the reality of the 6th edition chaos codex. =)
