deathwatch WIP

im finding the black hard to highlight cause the reflection from my lamps is hiding the grey im using. going to matte varnish it and see if that helps. first of 5 vanguard as deathwatch. this one i fucked up the pistol arm's shoulder area getting an old pad off it, so the metal isn't shown as well as the other 4. it's a basecoat of leadbelcher, washed with nuln oil, then i went in with runefang steel and did up the plates, avoiding segments. now i gotta start hunting for the actual deathwatch pads. dont want to spend $40 for everything when i only want the pads.

I can check, I believe I have some.

I think some bits places sell the plastic one for like a buck something each. Not cheap but not 40$ either

yea, i found alot of them, but the metal ones are what im after cause they got a bunch of nice scriptwork in the pad as well. last resort, ill go for the plastic simple ones.

started the highlights on the sergeant. these turned out better i think.
