Recent List - Khorne and Nurgle
Here's the list I've been using recently. It's not bad.. it's been "winning" but it really should not have beat Tim.. that was all luck and I still almost lost on the last turn.
I've been using the Landraiders primarily defensivly. If I have to move towards objectives I'll do it slowly, while blasting away at threats that can hurt the raiders. If I need to assault then I can slap em forward 6", get out 6", and hopefully be able to pull a decent charge with the reroll icon.
The Nurgle Lord can go with the plague marines, but I have deepstriked him in on his own a few times for a backfield threat. You can make a reasonably safe deepstike and still get to shoot with the Brand. Khorne Lord of course goes with bikes and screams up the field quickly.. Ive been keeping the cultists in reserve of course for deployment objective grabbing. Plague marines are hopefully for a midfield type of objective and berserkers are only there for a deterrent. They are much weaker without Kharn hating them on.. but are still a scary deterrent and capable of a long charge.
It has no real mid-range shooting. The lascannons have been doing a good job at taking out any big threats quickly, but when it comes to mobbish type units.. Ihave to rely on the flamers and bikes.
I had been taking a 3 man unit of terminators with a landraider, and then a vindicator with my heavy slot opened up. But swapping the terms for bikes have been much more reliable. I only have one melta on the bikes.. only because I have to actually glue the other melta on.. I needed ten points so figured Id just run it wysiwyg until I got that taken of then find that ten points.
Thoughts/advice? Theres lots of lists I'll have problems with, but it has been a fun list to play.

Need that to keep him alive!
If I have to buy that extra melta I'll prob take off the dirge casters.. I havent used them .. yet. I know they could be damn handy though.. the dozers I use ALL the time.. awesome.

I cant see the dirge casters getting used more than 1 game in 10 Robyn. most of your charges out of the land raider are going to be a 6 inch moves coupled with a 6ish inch charge. if your raider is close enough to the other guy that you get to use the dirge caster, you were probably too close the turn before and in melta/charge range of the other guy.. which isnt going to end well for the raider.

Yeah.. Exactly. The only time i could see it being useful is driving up 6", guys getting out 6" then "maybe" havng the the raider go flat out in the shooting to get within 6" if its a scary unit.
Its situational.. But in the right circumstances turn the tide. It wont come often but nice having the option.
It also might be useful for support of another assaulting unit.. Not just the one in it.
For five points i dont mind carrying it.. Unless of course i really need those ten points
