So Apparently Star Wars...

VII, VIII, and IX are a thing. Starting in 2015, 2017, and 2019.

Disney has done good by Marvel, so hopefully they can do good by Star Wars and Indiana Jones.

Not to sure where they'll go with Star Wars though.

Ive been trying to find some info about the story.. But only can see it'll continue with luke and tje group. Im holding out hope they might adapt the Zahn books.. But who knows.

I'm all for any version of star wars that has Lucas far, far away from it.

The clone Wars stuff ain't bad.

They have a lot more to work with than Luke and co. Old republic, etc.

My personal opinion is the Thrawn trilogy and the uric qel droma saga are the high points of the series. I'm including the films.

I think it will be good, no reason to have not made more movies in the first place.

Well.. There were lots of reasons for Lucas to not make more movies... He was getting death threats daily forepisodes 1-3.

He was out of touch with what he thought was a good idea and with what the fans wanted. Its to bed hes.going out.on such a downturn.. But even he couldnt kill the franchise. I wonder if the new movies made.old fans more fiercely.

All that matters is that Billy Dee needs some work and the time is perfect! Go, go Lando!

I think they should leave the 6 movies as-is and go out into the universe. An Old Republic movie featuring the tale of Darth Revin would make for a good show, and probably a trilogy at that. Escaping from Taris, the Starforge etc...

I'd kinda like a movie based on the Kathol Outback myself...

I think they need to make a new movie based on new ideas pretaining to starwars.
But they wont, so my hope is an Old Republic era movie... Just seems the most entertaining (to me) than the Old-man luke era.

Old-man Luke has too much baggage. I don't see how they could make that movie good without reminding people about how horrible 1-3 were.

I actually am pretty open with whatever story they go wiith, I know it wont be worse than what we got.

Im also a-ok with.old man luke.. We actually only ever got one movie with a confident and semi-powerful luke.. Id be happy with more, and some part of me would love to grissled old Hamill back on saber duty. Thats probably more the nostalgia talking more than anything...

Mark Hamil has been constantly busy since Star Wars. We just never get to see him (cock-knocker aside). He has provided the voice of every animated character ever produced in every TV show and movie ever made.

He's put his voice to "The Joker" in a ridiculous number of batman things for a ridiculous number of hours. He's also a regular on English dubs of Miyazaki works.

Some new information is saying that it will be a completly.original story.. So no Thrawn books or any.additional canon frm literature after Jedi.

I had to look up your reference Beau. I did play a bit of the rpg and remember somwthing about the Darkstryder plot lne.. I might of even had the first book.. But i never would of got that reference. I can barely remwmber what i did last week.. The 90's are a darker blur..

Hehehe. WEG had some quality gaming crack back then.

I like Darkstyder cuz it was Star Wars but it had a darker, bleaker feel, but it was recognizably Star Wars....

I want to see what's-his-face from force unleashed. Not the game story, but the actor, was in the mist and the American. Version of being human.

Thrawn for the win tho, followed closely by the yuuzhan Vong invasion.

Funny thing is, they'll probably ignore the huge wealth of story from expanded universe.

I will cry if they get David s. goyer to write any of it.

Side note: watch blade 2's commentary. Del toro talks about goyer's silly ideas about ppl hanging in blood banks etc.
Then goyer gets control of blade 3. What does he do? Everything del toro refused to do in 2.

Anyway! I'm excited for this Disney takeover. Loved tron legacy, John carter of mars.
