I thought those crazy necron fliers want to snap fire?

Can't snapfire the deathray. You can snapfire the Tesla Destructor, but no-one's going to whine about 3-6 S7 AP- hits. (well... they shouldn't)

Nah, Snapfiring the Tesla does *less* hits. Optimal BS for Twin-Linked Tesla is 2, surprisingly. 1 is worse than 3 and 4.

Lol yeah the necron transports fit ork doctrine more than that of the necrons. Necrons just teliported in and out of battle, but apparently are in need of a transport let alone of a flier anyway........cant sell models using teliporters I guess

I was hoping they were going to do Dogs of War for 40k back when they added kroot. There was a white dwarf when Tau first came out for Kroot Mercenaries for other armies. Everyone was hoping they would expand on it, but it never went anywhere.

I read somewhere that there are plans on doing an allies supplement. Something like dogs of war, but not full army lists just only available as allies stuff.

I played against that kroot merc list a couple times.. It was bizarre.
... And not that good except you could infiltrate your whole army which was a rare thing back then unless you played alpha legion.

I cant imagine what that must have looked like back then. Although I've never been a fan of kroot either so perhaps that colors my thoughts a little bit. Way to wishy-washy of a unit for me.

Yeah, what ticked me off is some tourneys (local stuff) put in the rules that vehicle design rules were good to go but Tyranids (the only army with no vehicles) could not make their own monsters.

Re: Are flyers that good?
I remember playing (badly) 3rd Ed. With my buddies in highschool. Made a huge tyranid super chicken. Clucked the shizzle out of some very "fowl" imp. Guard.
Boy did they have egg on their faces. Madder than a hen house!
Alright, out of chicken puns, my job is done here

Re: Are flyers that good?
Well i just wish they would either make Kroot shooty and give them shooty options or melee and give them melee options. I find them way to middle of the road to actually be worth it. espcially since they dont even start with 6+ armor saves.

Re: Are flyers that good?
Well everyone (except tyranids) have the option to take a vendetta squadron and hydra squadron, and an officer of the fleet as allies to counter flyers with the 6th ed rules.
I guess Imperial guard are the Dogs of war for 40k now that the laws of physics have changed in the 40k universe.
IG are ironically only desperate allies with Dark Eldar and necrons...the two armies that dont really need help against fliers
