I agree cool list, but maybe not enough bodies. Also what is going inside the Land Raider?

Going to guess the free tact squad goes on the raider. The scout squad would go in the defense line. Mike, sure you don't wanna trade the raider for a storm eagle?

it is a good all around list, when we played it had several strong points but i would have used it differently then what he did, not getting into details lol, the only thing i would trade off is the daca pred and maybe the scout squad for an addition tactical and some transports if the pointa allowed otherwise a good list just had some shitty rolls and a few rule mix ups on both our parts lol.

you guys are right, so far my troops have been my weak point. the scouts are good for camping a home-base objective, but so far they havent done alot.
atm, the prometheus has been empty cause i've been deploying everything behind the aegis. but when i get another talon bought and converted i'll drop some stuff and take those two with the prometheus fairly often as the prometheus gives +1 to reserve rolls. so its handy for getting them on sooner.
but i think i should play it more aggressive and probably stick haas in it more often; since they get relentless, i can move up, get out, shoot, and then assault.
adam, the predator executioner is just like a normal predator, but instead of an autocannon, it has the executioner plasma cannon, and starts off at 125pts. i dont think its available for chaos though. and you can swap the plasma for a heavy conversion beamer.

BS 4, FA 13, SA 11, RA 10, HP 3
Heavy choice for any marine, wolf, dark angel, blood angel, black templar army. note to blood angels; this tank does not benefit from the baal engines in their codex; it moves at the same speed as all other codices move their predators.

List looks good.. Im just not a fan Loth. He was good before.. But ridiculous right now. 6 powers and mastery 3.. That makes him one of the most powerful psykers in the game.. Add in the new rules for his armour just say he has to expend a charge to get a 2+ invul save. Sorry man.. I just think hes over the top right now.

He wasnt that bad before.. at least he had to roll for the armour and his points were up there.
Its really the get a whole discipline that boggles me. Hes the only psyker in the game who can reliably plan for his powers every game. He can turn himself into a beast in cc..

Granted they screwed up the morale checks (Loth could have regrouped, Mikey. No 6" anymore.) but its an AWESOME story.

Yea, was epic. That's why its called practice games.
I'd say for the armor, the choosing of a full discipline (I've been rolling for "a" power at a time out of the 3 groups he can pick; I didn't realize you just pick "a full discipline" to use) and being one of...8? Level 3 named psykers, his cost is about right. The fact he gets a force axe so he can kill terminators that fail a 5++ with a roll of 3+, and being allowed to take an honour guard filled with dudes that have 2+ saves and power weapons makes him seem undercosted if you haven't played him. But seriously; how many points does "one" infantry model on a 25mm base need to be? Even if he seems badass. There's stuff in the GK codex that you could choke on in initial shock too for their cost. The game doesn't need all the cool characters to be around the cost of a land raider.
Like the rant godhand linked to said; the way to deal with a deathstar in 6th is ignore it and shoot the troops. All missions are obj based. If you want easy, play checkers. Here we're trying to master chess.
I'm making a new character with the boarding action captain to use as an unnamed captain when I don't want a 205pt psyker that skeerz ppl away. Even though everyone can negate his powers on a D6 of 6 anywho

Nobody said anything about being scared.of him or asking how to deal with him.. I was just pointing he's goofy costed and is probably the best psyker.
You can take 6 powers from one discipline.. Thats all of them.. if yiu take biomancy you could beef him up to str tgh 7.. With d3 attacks and init and fleet.. Plus he can have a 2+ invul save .
They key about the whole thing being you can plan to always have those psychic powers and plan accordingly.
You can deny its odd for an IA character to be the most powerful space marine libarian.. Hes far better then Tigurius and Mephiston.. And just odd to be the only character to choose a whole discipline.

*shrugs* its a named character that's for 'my' chapter who happens to actually be good enough in the game to consider him regularly. that's all i care about.
but GW and/or FW need to get to task and finally make some named characters that are 'good' for the iron hands. they still have nothing and they're a first founding chapter. that's not right.
