Like the Spartan Helmet on the biker. But for god sakes they are way to clean cut. Black or brown ink the apothecary. Or maybe even a blue greyish dry brush on the white edge's of the armor. But still it is obvious that you put in alot of time in these. Over all nice job keep her going.

lol, let me stress this now jimmy; apothecary? VERY WIP. the fact his chainsword's not even a 1/5th painted should make that clear

Another update. got some more of the Anvil Industry bitz painted, and my ebay order of heresy armor arrived so i've started on that squad as well; it'll be a plasma cannon, plasma gun, apothecary sergeant squad. pics:

??? Do you mean the blacklining on the white helmet?

yes. i basecoated in a grey, then painted the white on, trying to avoid the edges where i wanted the grey to still show. seams easier than basing white and then lining with grey

did some purity seals before i head to work; still need to drybrush the metal skull and eagle

small update, started painting the new squad of tartaros pattern terminator armor. here's the sergeant.

got some more work done on one of my scout squads today. looking at the pic from left to right, guy 1,4,5 had their skin, shoulderpads, hair, and camo stripes done with the new GW colors, dude 2,3 were done with the old line. all the gold is the new line using 1 coat of layer gehenna's gold. the flash washed it out, but the sarge's gold's been drybrushed with golden griffon. it dries looking alot like the 1:1 mix of burnished gold and mythril silver GWs old paint recipes used for gold aquilas

My Favorite thing about your painting style: How you paint the plasma guns. I love that ice-blue to white blend, and it looks fantastic.

My least favorite thing about your painting style: Purity Seals. My recommendation would be to take a tonne of purity seals and just paint purity seals. Getting something that looks like words on a purity seal can be a challenge, but with a series of washes and inks you can get something that looks really special and pops in a great way. That's one thing I would recommend you spend more time on to improve the overall quality of your figs. (my 0.02 :-) )

Edit: Many kits come with Purity Seals that are solo on the sprue, as you've got above. Just practice painting them, when you get some that look great, affix 'em to the model. With the Gale-Force 9 red ink, you can make the seal part look like a wax seal, especially if you give it a pit of a pinkish wash first.

Special Rules
Atomantic Shielding - The Contemptor Dreadnought has an Invulnerable save of 5 against shooting attacks and explosions, and an Invulnerable save of 6 against attacks suffered in Close Combat. In addition, if the Contemptor suffers a "Vehicle Explodes" damage result, add 1 inch to the radius of the blast.

That base has gotta go. You've got a grey mini competing with primary blue and red for focus and it's not winning. Just my opinion...

finished him to a point im satisfied enough to move onto another project. to be honest scott, im not really feeling the base colors either, it was just slapped on so he had a base to stand on. got any suggestions on what colors would look better for that base?

I agree, something like cracked/broken concrete or stone.

On the other hand, it'd be very patriotic if you lived 6 hrs south:)

i was thinking of a stone color, but i have a very limited pallet for that kind of coloring. i have the greys, obviously, but doing the same color just looks like i airbrushed the base with the model and never painted it. on the other hand, a lighter gray will look like primer and nothing else.

i suppose i could pull off a sandstone temple base with the pallet i have.
