Re: 1850 Death Company
That's from Clara.
I'd think you'd be better off spliting them up, either 10/10/5/5 or 10/5/5/5/5, with a squad in the Raven either way. Probably the first, as you could have a PF or TH in each squad.
You could also trade the Raven for another squad and a drop pod for the dread. Or, if your opponent is cool with it, burn a FA slot and take the Lucius Drop Pod.

Re: 1850 Death Company
2 squads and 2 vehicles?
Does the death company dread suffer from rage as well?
Ive faced death company a few times now from the new dex and I have a hard time understanding why they are so expensive. Having rage all the time if a big penalty in this addition.. but maybe Astorath or Lemartes supress it?
Might be a fun list to play with.. fairly elite guys but any list with a few vehicles, especially a Raider and your going to be in some trouble.

Re: 1850 Death Company
lemartes is just a 2 wound model that jump to str 5, attack 5 after he suffers a wound, and astorath just allows more than 1 death company squad.
really, the list is for shits and giggles, and i dont expect it to power play; just run at something really fast and hopefully make it go "ouch!! why'd you do that?!?"
given they all have rage, but also feel no pain and relentless, im just tossing the models with jump packs in one squad, the ones on foot in another, and let them go hard. i thought about splitting them, but given they'll all just charge the closest enemy anyways, it ends in the same thing; they all charge the same target, so i may as well let them be a large squad that gets to count all of its attacks in the melee.
to really make them effective, you'd have to make them multiple small groups, and put them in transports so you can keep them from raging across the board like some idiot dog at the first flap of fabric they see.
i'll probably lose more games than win them playing them this way, unless my opponent is an idiot or just very unlucky, but i'll have the joy of knowing all i have to do is try to kill all of my enemy's guys to win, and not worry about anything else.

Re: 1850 Death Company
ah, I knew there was a reason for the split like it was.
Basically, I'd expect this list to win 1 in 3 to 1 in 6. When it wins, It's probably tabling the opponent. When it loses, it's probably close to a tabling.
