well apparently in multiplayer mode, you can fully customize your marine, and they claim over 1.8 million combinations exist for your appearance

I'm several hours into the game and have yet to have had any fun. I've played better shooters on the old X-Box than this. Very dissappointing.

The demo was not super fun. so i havenr bought it.
Ill wait until boxing day when steam puts it up for 80% off like everything else.

If I do that does the game become fun? The controls are clunky, there is no interaction with the environment (use of cover, for example), the story could have been written by a 5 year old, and there is very little variety to gameplay. This game simply brings nothing to the table that has not been done much better before. Rogue Trooper for the original X-Box was a far superior third person shooter to this Steam (ing) pile (see what I did there?).

I played the demo for the computer and didnt like it at all.. controls were weird, hard to do the stun/execute thing ...

but.. on the playstation it was awesome.. its definitely a console game. I only played the demo but will def grab the game when it hits the discount price.

@Timbo: no idea, but in my ideo game world, the Konomi Kode solves all.

It sounds like you're looking for Gears of War w/ a Space Marine skin.

Gears is alright. Not great, but certainly a more polished game than this.

you sound like you've never seen that before in most games, tim; most games these days could have that said about them. red faction Armageddon is another disappointment; they went from fully interactive free-world in guerrilla, and knocked it down into a linear campaign mode where you 'have' to do the campaign, and cant just run around doing what you want. the new game mechanics are fun, but they shouldn't of ditched the open world setup.
