Hoo.. I just finished playing the Space Marine demo and damn, if it isn't amazing. The combat is fluid and intense throughout it all and the visuals are fantastic.
You guys really got to try this out.

Played through both missions. First is pretty sweet, but not sure how grenade launcher works. Chainsword is... Perfect. 2nd mission is where game really shines. Jump pack? Eff yeah!
I'd give demo 8/10

On the PC version, you press "R" to detonate the bombs in the order you dropped 'em. They start detonating automatically after the 6th launch.

Based off an interview I saw the multiplayer will be class based with Devastators , Assault and Tactical Marines being playable. It will also use levels like most shooters these days, unlock new guns, skins, decals and what not as you level up.

I just buy everything possible through steam these days. It used to be a very crappy service back in the beginning, but now its the future. I might get to a point where if its not a Steam game, i wont buy it.

Plus, you can can get some sweet sweet deals on older stuff once in a while, i got the entire CIV4 package with all expansions for like 10 bucks last xmas Smile

the reason you get better prices at hi-tech instead of EB, is because hi-tech is local-owned. the guy who owns them sets his own prices for games, where EB has to follow a listed value list of all games that's posted for the whole country. even the staff think the price value the list gives on certain titles is stupid, but that was the choice someone much higher up than them made. generally though, if its a game that has sequels, or a game that gets a new version out yearly, like any sport titles, the price is almost nothing. i laugh when i see kids try to trade in their madden and nhl discs, because in the first month their value drops to $10. in 6 months, they cant even give you money for it, because its listed at $0 value on their list.

You bet.. Steam is fantastic.

I was initially against it in the beginning.. worried about having to download games if I switched computers.. but.. Ive only had to download one game twice.. by the time you get a new computer youve usually moved on. Steam all the way.

I actually run steam on both of my computers with the same steam profile. any game i bought and is in my library can be downloaded and installed on either computer. I was checking on it and there is no limit to how many computers you can do this for. The only thing is only one computer can be logged in to access that profile and games at a time. Steam is great.

hate to break it to you guys, but apparently there's a secret line of coding in the full version of the game. when it realizes your a 40k player and don't own or play loyalist space marines, it makes you die every 30 seconds into the mission via a grey knight teleporting in and yelling DIE HERETIC!!! And then you lose the game. Very tragic, i know. But that's the price of heresy.

It's pre equipped, vengeance launcher. On the xbox, detonate is the right block button, or reload.

ya, that grenade launcher took me a while to understand. First: How do u detonate them? and second, in what priority are the grenades detonated?

The game looks awesome though; rly interested in the release next week.

Played through the demo on the PC and the PS.3, I like it on the PS3 way, way better.

The game is pretty freaking awesome..

Now, if only there was a patch to give him a Worldeaters skin, and overwrite the dialog with grunts, yells and frothing.

I've read that there's going to be different skins available for multi-player some will need to be unlocked. Multi-player is also going to be set-up as Imperium vs. Chaos. Don't know if my reading source is reliable.

Awesome.. sounds pretty good to me..

I know you can get a pair of Chaos skins via pre-orders ... theres Emperor's Children and Iron Warriors.. but I like the multiplayer idea.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if they put up some skins as DLC for a few bucks on the PS store. Id pay a few bucks to run around as a berserker..

Is it bad that I'm kinda really looking forward to the Space Marine Dressup part of the game?
