Battle this week

Hay anyone good for 1500 ponit battle sometime late in the week.
I toght up a new deployment style. I call it dug in the defending army is dug in at vatage point. Id like to be that defneding army.

And if anyone wants the detains for this depolyment i tought up IM me and ill send you the fual depolyment plan.
If you want to help me test it tell me here. Heck who knows mayby sometime down the road this might be in an official deplyment. and we could hold barging rights to it. But the old of that happoning are low.

Dom, maybe just focus on learning the existing rules before inventing a bunch of your own. Just a suggestion.

Ya i know and i do. But im always thinking and ill come up with stuf like this. And most of the time it pays off. and this concept is vary simple. A defeneding army sets up at a place that has a defenceive value.

For example a cliff with only one way up.( I could explan this better with diagram.) The atcking army must set up away from the entery. The dfenceive player has the avatage of higher ground.
A seconde example can be a fort the defened is set up in a fort and its pretty much the same from there.
So basicly the defenceive ground is raised land or large building that has few acsess ponits ceating an unfair battle that will push the atackers skill.
The problem with this is that an army that in its prim at shoting will do well ex: IG armys that are better at CQC will be put in a hard spot. Thats why i want to test it before i desiced if i want to scrap it or not.

I have time to play a game on Friday this week, but I don't want to try this new deployment style. It sounds awful one-sided.

From the sounds of it, if the defending army has 1500 points, maybe the attackers should have 2000-2500.

I can play on Friday anytime but I have to be at SGI downtown by 4:00. I hope we can finish in time. What is the earliest you can start?

I hope not. I am tired of games not ending. 3 out of the last 4 I have played have gone to time. Tyranids tend not to win in 3-4 turns, as they do most of their damage on turns 5-6. Then people cherry-pick a 'win'.

Hey it looks like my time management skills might pay off by Saturday. Any one up for a 2k battle. Any time will do at the den.

I'd take on your choas again and only if ya play with a set of dice that I will buy at the den. Your big dice are way to "lucky"!!! And yes One pm should work on Saturday.

no no Dom, he needs to leave the Den so he can be somewhere ELSE at 4pm. which means he's gonna have to leave by 3:30pm at the latest or he wont beat traffic to where he needs to be, assuming its the 2nd Ave main branch.

I'd be up to battling your standard marines. If that is Canadin is good on the offer. I was kinda wondering if I could bring my half built GK list. Think I got her thought out, but the bummer is I would have to proxy in 25 troops and an HQ choice. If not then I can bring my standard marines and we could battle for the will of the Emperor. Would 1pm Saturday work for ya?

yea, 1pm sat works for me for a 2000pt list with legit dragon's den dice, a present codex, my own templates, my own measuring tape, my own rule book, and a printed list of what i took, and on whom, with rhinos that only hold 10 men max.

Nah, that's ok; double or singles, I won't play against you until you bring dice that Darren sells, you bring your codex with you cause "I" haven't memorized the chaos codex, and neatly print out a list of your army telling me what your fieldings and on whom. And no shorthand; I don't understand all the shorthand for codex's I don't own. Otherwise I'm not playing another match against an all-proxy army again. And from what I hear, your eldar army isn't remotely friendly and casual either so I'm not playing against it. Just saying that's my stand on the matter cause I'd rather be honest than avoid you so no feelings are hurt.

Hey dusktiger my kids totally destroyed my Standard codex so I might have to use yours a little if thats okay with ya. And if we could get a fourth person that would be awesome. And if Canadin "forgot" his magic dice at home i got 3 sets. And if the dark gods cures them I might buy another set... lol
