Team Tournament
I think there has been enough interest in this, I'm gonna try to set this thing up.
My preference is to try and run a 1500 pt tourney on Sunday June 25th or July 9th. I still have to talk to Darren about opening early, but most of the staff have said as long as it's well in advance it's not a problem.
I'd rather we have 1500 b/c it solves all the of the 2 or 3 wound combat patrol issues.
Here is a rough copy of rules/guidelines for the tournament. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.
Mission/deployment is predetermined. If anyone wants to see them here is a link: http://www.adepticon.org/wpfiles/2010/201040KChamps.pdf
I may be making MINOR changes to the missions.
1500 POINT TEAM TOURNAMENT
RULES
• Teams will consist of 4 players, each with a separate army. Teams should submit their team name, members and an army list for each army at least one week before the tournament. $40/team. 4 teams total.
• Armies will consist of 750 points using the following force organization chart
o 1 Headquarters
o 1-3 Troops
o 0-1 Elite
o 0-1 Fast Attack
o 0-1 Heavy Support
o Any choices that don’t take up a place in the Force Organization chart are to be used as per their rules in their respective codices, and are not affected by the restrictions stated above for other types of choice (Black Templar Emporer's Champions, Space Marine Command Squads, CSM Chaos Spawn and Summoned Daemons etc.)
• No Forge World/Imperial Armor units, players may still use a FW model to represent a unit from their codex.
• All GW FAQ’s apply.
• Special/Unique/Named characters may be used, provided their rules allow them to be used in armies of 1500 points or less.
• Please try to provide your own rulebook, codex, dice, templates, pen/pencil, calculator, laptop, alter to the Dark Gods, or whatever you feel you need during the course of play. Spares will be avaliable, but they are MY dice, use at your own risk.
• Please provide an army list to the judges (me) beforehand (at least a week prior to the tournament). All players will be provided with an Army Builder printout for themselves and all opponents.
• In order for the tournament to keep on schedule, all players should drop their dice and stop playing when time is call- no exceptions. Please be aware of the time you have left and do not start a round you cannot finish. A warning will be provided at 15 and 5 minutes remaining. NO game turn should be started after the first warning period.
• Any illegal units/rules violations/general douche-baggyness will result in punishment up to and including the following:
o Removal of offending models or units.
o Removal of offending shirt or articles of clothing.
o Removal of offending douchebags.
SCORING
• Battle points (52.9%): 270 total points per team. 45 points per game divided into primary (21), secondary (14), and tertiary (7) objectives with up to +3 battle point modifiers
• Sportsmanship (23.5%): 120 total points, player scored
• Appearance/Painting (23.5%): 120 total points, player scored
• Total possible points: 510
SPORTSMANSHIP
Each round, each player will evaluate their opposing TEAM on a 1-10 scale
1=I would never play these @$$holes again in a million years.

Thanks for the support:)
I'm hoping to have the details finalized by this weekend. I know I said last weekend, but family stuff came up. If there is anything you are curious about in particular, feel free to PM me.

Re: Team Tournament
I don't understand. How does this work? Does only half the team play any one match?

Re: Team Tournament
Lets say Tom, Joe, Matt K. and Ben M. form Team No Ones.
In round one Tom and Joe play one game vs Team B, and Matt and Ben play another game vs Team B's other pair.
In round two they have to have different pairings. Tom and Matt take on the Team C's first pair, and Ben and Joe take on the other.
In round three you pair with you last teammate (so Tom and Ben, and Matt and Joe) and take on Team D.
By the end of the three rounds, your team will have 6 games total, each player playing 3 games, one with each of his teammates. And each game you play against a differnt team.
Thats the main reason I'm having to use battlepoints, as at he end of the tourney every team could have a 3-3 record. Gotta have something to seperate ppl.
