toughness test
In the new daemon codex it says " the target must immeduately take a toughness test " if I hit a model with the Boon of mutation. So my qustion is what is a toughness test?
Re: toughness test
opponent rolls d6 equal to or less than target models toughness to pass

Re: toughness test
I'm wondering where you guys are getting this info, as i couldn't find it in the 4th ed. rules. So I'm thinking this is a fifth edition rule. It wouldn't make sense for the spell to be harder to cast on a T3 model as apposed to a T5 model. so mayhaps 2D6 above the units toughness would make more sense. harder to get those T6 models tham a simple guardsman.

Re: toughness test
Nope, the higher the models toughness, the easier it is for them to resist.
Works the same way as the WInds of Chaos (that the right one?) psychic power. You pick a model within 2" and they make a toughnes test. If they roll equal to or greater then his toughness, he's a spawn! A 6 always fails though no matter how tough you are. So, if he toughness 3, he needs a 1,2 3 but if your a nurgle marine on a bike, only rolling a 6 will do you in.
Make sense? I'm not sure where it says it in the 4th edition book, but it's been around for a long time. We should find it though. It might be at the very begining of the book. Ill look when I get a chance, Im jsut flying by the seat of my pants here.

Re: toughness test
I could not find it in the rule book. I think it might be coming out in the 5th edition. Which makes sence because the daemons book is out close to the same time the 5th will be coming out.
Re: toughness test
Nope, definitely not a 5th edition thing, the toughess test has been around forever. I'll take a look tonight. I know they explain it for sure in the Chaos codex.. as well, it was in the previous codex which actually came out during third edition.
I cna gurantee the rules above are right though, if you have the chaos book use that for referenece.

Re: toughness test
P8 in the new rule book
It was omitted in the last book
Characteristic tests have been around in both games forever. Roll a D6 if equal to or under the characteristic the test is passed. A 6 Always fails.
Leadership tests are an exception and roll 2D6. Wording from editions before
