Two Orks, One Cup
So I'm messing around with 1000pt lists to try out for my Orks and as I'm very uncreative I've come up with a couple of options and want other people to see if they're decent lists or just crap I scribbled out after taking a couple too many nyquil/Tylenol/ContactC
OPTION 1:
HQ
Weird Boy - 55pts
Troops
21 x Slugga Boyz, Nob with boss pole and power claw - 166pts
21 x Shoota Boyz, Nob with power claw - 161pts
Fast Attack
4 x Deffcopta's, Twin Linked Rokkits, 1 Buzzsaw - 205pts
4 x Deffcopta's, Twin Linked Rokkits, 1 Buzzsaw - 205pts
4 x Deffcopta's, Twin Linked Rokkits, 1 Buzzsaw - 205pts
Scout Move the copta's ontop of someone to buy time for the boyz to come up and fist them, weird boy hopefully granting awesome magic or laughs along the way. Downside, not enough boyz.
OPTION 2

Big Mek, Power Fist, KFF - 110pts
Troops
30 x Slugga Boyz, Nob with Power Fist and Boss pole - 220pts
30 x Slugga Boyz, Nob with Power Fist and Boss pole - 220pts
30 x Slugga Boyz, Nob with Power Fist and Boss pole - 220pts
30 x Shoota Boyz, 2 x Big Shoota, Nob with Power Fist and Boss pole - 230pts
This one definitely won't win me any friends. Upside, has enough boyz.
Option 3:

Big Mek, KFF - 85pts
Troops
30 x Slugga Boyz, Nob with Power Fist and Boss pole - 220pts
30 x Slugga Boyz, Nob with Power Fist and Boss pole - 220pts
15 x Shoota Boyz, Rokkit Launcha - 100pts
Heavy Support
3 x Killa Kans, Grotzooka's - 135pts
3 x Killa Kans, Grotzooka's - 135pts
Deff Dread, 4 x DCCW - 105pts
This last one I enjoy the most, I'm sad that there's no copta's but it gives me 3 troops choices and will make my opponents brain twitch in the way that makes them roll dice bad, I fully expect a comp score of negative eleventeen, which is kind of a bummer.

I dont know that much about orcs, but i would have to say that 120 boys in 1k points will make you very unpopular =)
Personally i like the last list just because the new models for kans and dreads are so cool.

Why not take2 squads of 30 boys, 3 kans, 1 dread kopta's and fill up the rest of points with your choice. You don't need to max out a particular units which you seem to be doing. This way too you get koptas and kans in your list.

If your going to take 120 boys at 1k points why not just do biker nobs instead...just as douchy and then you can make engine reving noises as you move them...I know win win!(Except comp score, thats a lose lose)

wats so bad about 120 boys ? as long as you dont take too long in the movement phase, I mean it isnt too hard to move that many models if they're all making a bee-line across the table

So I've kinda gone with what Greg suggested and what I want to play. Yeah it seemed like I was just trying to max out one unit but really I'm just trying to get my favorite stuff on the table in a way that it will earn its points back, I love the black reach copta model and the new kans are sexy as all hell. So a combination of the idea's.

It goes against my tactical instinct of redundancy, redundancy and redundancy (The three "R's" of 40k) but it has some magic in that these units will work very well in concert, strong infantry base (best lads in 40k) and best fire support the orks have (bs 3 kans with a mix of template and high AP firepower) and some good old ork cunnin' with copta's that can scout move or outflank, big mek is honestly the cheapest HQ in the dex, plus an obvious choice for strategy (KFF awesomeness) and for fluff (someone had to wrench all those cool ork contraptions together). I think I'm going to start some painting on this list tonight. Only tough decision is taking kustom mega blasta's over grotzooka's, frankly it just seems like a good answer to terminators. (KMB - 24" Str 8 AP 2)

Even if it is based on what you like modle/fluff wise, it still looks like a solid list. With BS3 i think the kans are the only unit i would ever consider putting a custom mega blaster on.

Im happy you listened to me tom. Nothing better in a list than using the models you like rather that just maxing the killy stuff.

The Idea behind list 2 is that it would give me the ability to hold a home objective while delivering some punishing hits from the shokk attack gun (its AP1 template can dish out some sweet damage) other then that the rest of the changes reflect some play testing observations such as the copta with the buzzsaw being a suicide unit instead of part of a larger mob, the power claw on the kff being dropped since I never want to risk him in close combat (keeping him well guarded in a mob of boyz to avoid being placed in base 2 base.
Comments about whether I'm improving this list or trying to fit more awesome into 1000pts than it was meant to handle would be appreciated.
