The Birth of the Wraith Lord
The Lord of Cthelmax awoke to a dark ritual being performed in his tomb by a chaos sorcerer and in a bloody duel his torso was severed from his body, however he clawed through the sorcerers helmet and stabbed through the sorcerers eye before phasing out to the spiders below for repair. Too important to be tossed aside but without the resources to repair the Lord, a wraith was slain and the spider welded Lord's ragged torso to the wraiths body, his hydraulic and sensory tubing still hanging out his side from the battle the Lord rose up and took flight.

So ya, I was bored today and after watching terminator 2 while painting Orks my scatter brain fizzled to only thinking about slow marching machines slowly waving across the tabletop and I looked at my small collection of unpainted and still NIB Necrons and decided to get to work, long story short there was an extra wraith tail in one of my blisters and I had two Necron lords on foot for some unfathomable reason (must have been drunk designing that purchase) so after a little bit of conversion effort I have a 'Wraith Lord' which I will play as a Destroyer Lord since that's the only model I don't own from the Necron codex.

Cool. From what I understand, the Destroyer Lord with Warscythe is the best HQ option anyways so give him a try! It gives you one unit in your army that doesn't totally suck in HtH.

All my units are good in hand to hand Tim, that's why I use loaded dice, tough to win a hand to hand against loaded dice.

lol, ya I really wanted to try out the destroyer lord and I'm in love with the idea of fielding a Storm Caller War Cell for apocalypse and Wraith Lord with a 9 Wraith retinue seems ... really =I=censor=I= awesome? I'm pumped to show off the model, as I just put the 'ard coat on him this morning but I'm stuck in the 'I don't own a working camera' slump and will hopefully be posting pics up tomorrow after a quick stop at the girlfriends to convince her that posting pictures of plastic 'army men' does not make me a loser... lol popular argument in this hobby i'd imagine.

My wife thinks it's the coolest thing and even has her own army. took me a couple years to convince her though.

I'm looking forward to seeing it though. I love necrons but think the army list is always really boring and predictable. Having only warriors for troops with no possible options has always been a setback for me enjoying building a necron army.
