Android Launch Day | Potential FAQ release? | NightScythe Nerf

Games Workshop has released a tonne of stuff on Android.

On the iBook store too, they've launched these "Munitorium" things, I'm buying the Shuriken Catapult thing for $1.99, just to see the content.  Apparently, some of these things have rules in them?  They released a "Warlord" book for Dark Angles Azrael and Asmodai or somesuch? 

I don't know what's going on yet, and my go-to sites show nothing.

Also, they appear to have updated the digital codexes, so there might be new FAQ's coming??????

The Shuriken Catapult thing just downloaded.

All it is is a bunch of cool fluff and the rules re-printed from the Codex.  10 pages of fluff or so, with some new art?  I probably won't buy another one of these things, but at $2, I'm not butt-hurt about it.

I'll update as soon as the Necron and Daemon books finish updating.

I noticed in the book that if you disembark from a NightScythe moving over 24" you can only fire snapshots.

Yep, that's a thing.  You can still totally move 23" and then disembark your 6" as normal, though.

I'm not noticing anything else though.

not a whole lot useful in there. I'm hoping that this is just a dry heat for actual Codecies.

maybe someone in marketing figured out that Android made up 75% of total smartphone sales in 2012.

On a more serious note. If they did ones of those for tau I'd probably drop 2 bucks a month on them till I had all the weaponry ones. I am seriously considering buying the Index Astartus ones though... I loved those old white dwarf ones.

Well I might seriously consider getting a nice andriod tablet now. I never wanted to drop the cash on an ipad since imo you have to buy into everything apple to make it all worth it.

A little threnomancy, but 40k Rulebook is up for pre-order in epub and mobi formats.

Its the mini-dex in pdf format. like the Dark vengeance book. not bad at all.

and it states that its updated with the current FAQs and errata. which is pretty sweet. lets hope that you can re-download it when further updates happen.

I have bought ebooks from the black library before and can still redownload them. I have a little andriod tablet and am seriously considering getting this. What do you use to read those files with Mike?

polaris office seems to work just fine on my Note 2 phablet. (god thats a less than manly word)

I'll have to have a look. the last time i downloaded stuff to read from black library i had something on there, but it was just meh. if i was going to rely on it for my rulebook/codex i'd like to look nice.

Picked up a copy of the Android rulebook today. Checking it out on my tablet now.

So far I'm content with picking up the Android version of the rulebook. For Android a ton depends on the app you have to read epub or mobi files. I think if you already had the small rulebook I'd stick with that. Unless you want everything digital.

But I have been enjoying not using the BRB. It its just so much lighter.
