Battle Focus & Jetbikes...?

The New Eldar book has 3 mostly global special rules: Fleet, Ancient Doom, and Battle Focus.

Fleet is old news,

Ancient Doom is Hatred (slaanesh Daemons and Mark of Slaanesh models) but you suffer -1 Ld vs Fear tests in melee involving said Slaaneshi hated models.
From what I can tell, every non-vehicle unit (except Harlequins) as well as War Walkers get this rule

Battle Focus is that a unit where all models have battle focus can either shoot then run, or run then shoot in the same phase. The unit must complete both actions before moving to next unit. Cannot be done with Heavy Weapons unless model is Relentless. Models that cannot Run gain no benefit from the Battle Focus special rule.
Every unit that has Ancient Doom also has Battle Focus except: Dark Reapers (who happen to be Slow and Purposeful instead) and all the Wraith units (they have fearless instead)

I find it funny that jetbike units maintain the special rule, but cannot run so it cannot be used.
Checked the FAQ, and all it does is correct the Shadow Weaver profile on the backpage to the profile listed in the wargear section.

On second though, I guess it is not totally useless. If an IC with battle focus joins a wraithguard/wraithblade unit he will be forfeiting his Battle Focus, whereas if a IC like an Autarch with swooping hawk wings joins a Shining Spear unit, he will still be able to run then shoot.

I don't have a book in front of me, but either the whole unit runs or it doesn't, right?

What strikes me as odd is if a Autarch with Hawk wings joins a hawk unit, they lose their no-scatter on deep strike jigger. Basically, he can't effectively join a hawk unit.

It's kinda tempting to give him the laughing god mantle and the shard. He'd be a couple of points, but man, would he smash face in challenges (and he'd likely get there on turn 2).

I love the mantle, totes gives you eldar assassin.

I want to try a Farseer with the mantle and a jetbike

2+ jink with re-roll, so he can fly around the map spewing psychic goodness, and buffing wherever needed.

Ya, there's some potential there. You just have to watch for a few things where cover is negated. I don't think that'd be as easy to use as we think it would be.... Kinda like being over gutsy with a deathwing assault.

if anything i think the reasoning behind it is for completeness/consistency. I mean the guys riding them are Guardians, it even says mesh armor under their wargear despite using the save the bike gives them. So no, i dont think it has any practical purpose.
