Team Tournament ideas

Hi all,

Also thinking of running 2013's Team tourney sometime. What I'm thinking of for it....

same as before teams of 4. Armies constructed according to the rules for allies (750 pts limit).

One player per game would be the primary detachment (and hence, the warlord). Every player would be warlord at least once.

The teams would follow rules for allies, unless they are the same codex, in which case they follow rules for seperate detachments.

Likely deployment and missions by round, likely the BRB standard missions slightly tweaked.

no allies cuz you already are allies:) Forts I'm working on.

By "Rules for Allies" do you mean 1 HQ, 1 Elite, 2 Troops, 1 Fast Attack, 1 Heavy | With HQ and 1 Troop being mandatory?

Do you also mean that all members on the team must be "Battle Brothers", "Allies of Convenience", or "If we must we must, but I'll cut you" and the appropriate rules applying in-game?

Yes, exactly.

Yes, with the provision you could also have 2 of the same codex, which would be treated as a double FOC.
I am aware this means Tyranids would have to be an all Nid team.

Hmm.. This would mean that every list would have to adhere to the allies force org since at some point during the day they'l have to be an ally.

I dont think it'd be a problem with 750 lists.. Except maybe the troops portion.. ? Combat squads then become very powerful.

Sounds pretty cool

I like how it'll create theme teams, and punish those who make desperate alliances

Robyn: compared to past team tourneys it was 2-3, it would now be 1-2. I'd be open to keeping 2-3.

so every individual list would have to have at least 2 troops?

4 troops should be.good between 1500 points.. Dont see it being an issue at all.

If any ork players are teaming up though.. Try to steer away from the horde aspect.. That was rough last team tournie.. We only played three rounds and i know other games were similar.

And Paz.. Deal with it.
