Badab War Campaign - July 2011 - Phase 2 of 5 Results

so last night 2 rounds were played.

First Round was Ben vs Dan, playing The Massacre at Bellerophon's Fall. Ben had to deploy his 2000pt force with 3 HQs in the center of the table, and Dan's objective was to kill those three. Also, if he scored more kill points than Ben by the end of the game, he'd get a Bonus objective. Unfortunately, not only did Dan not succeed in gaining more kill points, or knocking out enough HQ's, but he played a Siege Assault Vanguard list; a list that allows space marines to field tanks in squadrons, and has some unique tacticals and assault troops, and allows squads of dreadnoughts that count as troops. Siege Assault lists also have to play a "siege objective" on the board, placed by his opponent, that he must claim by the end of the game or the best he can do is tie; if a siege army doesn't claim it, they can never win a game; its meant to help counter the special rules they get.

That gained the Loyalists 4 points.


2nd round was me vs beau since neither of our other seccessionists could show in the end, and we played a standard 2000pt kill points mission, to which i took the victory.

That gained the Loyalists 3 points.


So this week the Loyalists are leading 7-0

That was nice not to mention which round who got tabled in the first game *snicker*

yea, was pretty nice of me not to mention dan's list was built so poorly that he got tabled by deathwing that were on the defense from the get-go in only 3 turns, wasn't it.....*smirk*

Well actually I think his list was fairly reasonable, I was pretty concerned at the start at least.

But then I got first turn and inverted my defense into a crippling offense that Dan could do little against

so in thursday another pair of 2000pt standard games were played; me vs andrew, Dan vs Beau.

in both games, the loyalists won, bringing the total score to 13-0.

so this week, it was beau vs andrew, playing a special mission for 4 CP, and Beau took the win.

and myself and robyn played a standard 2000pt game, which he won, earning the baddies their first 2 points this phase.

score now sits at 17-2.

dan vs beau next week, and as a handicap, if dan wins, his side earns 10 points rather than the usual 2.
