1500 Space wolf list

Here is a 1500 space wolf list I have came up with and would like to know what everyone thinks. I made this list based off the models I have allready kicking around home. So the list may seem a little wonky but im not out to make a super competitive list since I dont get out to play to much these days.

I think its a decent list and should be fun to play. Im hurting for long range anti tank with this list for sure but you cant cover it all. I still have 38 points that I might put towards maybe some hunter killer missles for the rhinos or maybe an upgrade here and there. Id love some feed back and maybe some suggestions on what to add to bring the list up to 1700 and 2000 points.

It does look like a good list, as you said it's only missing long range firepower. I'm not to sure about the wolf guards, they seem a bit over-priced, but to each his own.

I was looking through the space wolves codex a while ago and saw one of their heavy supports - Long Tooth I think they were called. It's basically a marine squad that can take 4 heavy weapons (IE Lascannons). IIRC, They were on par with imperial heavy weapon teams for point cost, AND they have marine stats.

So there's my suggestion. Plus, then if you take them you won't have to devote one of your short range marine squads to sitting back and holding a point in your zone, you can sit the heavy weapons on it and send the rest forward.

Also, everybody loves Land Raiders.

The list is not bad. You might/should take another squad of wolf guard to use the special rule of Logan grimnars intsead of 1 of the grey hunters squads.

Also grey hunters can't have multi meltas but they can take melta guns.

I'd recommend against the wolf guard in all honesty. The only way wolf guard ar viable is if you run them with only the base terminator armor with the occational upgrade. My recommendation would be 2-3 in bare armor, one with the shield to soak a hit, one with a chainfist to handle vehicles. But then again, if the models are there I do understand. Personally I'd also avoid logan like the plague, but once again, personal preference.

I would agree with carlos when it comes to Logan. I would not put him in a army list this small but I would use his model as a wolf lord or battle leader with a frost weapon to go with the wolf guard pack. I have always been a fan of Blood Claws and think that every Space wolf army should have at least one pack but these are just my personal beliefs.

As for firepower I always found the long fangs worth more than their points cost an are a good option. However I also find that wolf scouts with meltabombs can reak havoc on armor and a squad of Blood Claws(I know i said it again) with powerfists and meltaguns can take out tanks with ease once they are in range.
