Those giant wolves aren't the one's whose pelts adorn the marines. The pelts have got the teeny tiny claws of a reg wolf! It just seems to me it's like Tiger Woods walking around wearing his "Putt 'n Bounce" free burger card for getting a hole in one on the clowns nose. Impressive for a four year old but not the best golfer on the planet.

I create my own negativity thank you. And I don't think there is any kind of band wagan here. There are a couple of really bad figs. I don't need to say whats wrong with the wolf guy or lightning claw plasma guy, just look at them.

I don't see the pelts they where as the ones they hunt as part of their rites. I see them as ones they may have encountered during a hike or something. Kinda like when yo go fishing, you may catch several small fish you keep for eating and such, but that really big one is the one you brag about. I can't see them carrying around a gigantic wolf pelt as it might get in the way of their awesomeness as space marines.

And i think the guy on wolf is pretty cool. That wolf has to be one badass mother if he's gonna run around with an giant on his back. i see it as a more psychological thing. I wouldn't want to stand there when a wolf the size of my car is running after me, especially if andre is riding him swinging magic claws around.

And i thought wagon because i'm sure i'm not the only one that actually likes what i see. and if i am then you're all wrong anyway and can suck my big toe. The plasmagun/claw guy is bad to me because it is a terrible combo of wargear. I'm actually not too offended by it, other than i don't like the head.

I think you are mistaken Greg. Ive been reading some stats and you are officially one of only two people in the entire world who like that model. The only other person who has admitted to liking is a blind deaf guy who's been ina coma for 20 years... The sculptor has even come out and stated that he hates it.

You stand alone my friend.. concede!!

Excuse me? I think I have more than enough right to b*tch about Sh**ty models Gregory. I invested a lot of time and money building a wolf army, and I was expecting the same quality marine figs they have been pumping out since the BT and DA. So yes I think those characters are ugly, because they are...
Also, disagreeing with the main group to be unique is a little lame. If you agree with mass concensus, you aren't automaically wrong. Ppl who think that way are the same ppl who wear 'indi' clothes, listen to vinyl to be 'unique' and don't listen to music unless nobody they know listens to it.

I would like to see some references to your statements robyn as they seem ludacris.

Pascal if you've already spent time building a wolf army then you shouldn't need the new models.

Oh and Matt told me he likes the models too (sorry to oust ya man, but i needed proof that all these guys are wrong.

And i didn't disagree with the main group to be unique, if you happened to read the first post you will notice that i said i liked the models before anyone said they hated them. I was even enthusiastic about them enough to post the link here to show everyone the cool new models. Calling me lame is pretty low blow on a thread and i didn't appreciate it even if you meant it in a joking manner, since you cannot read intention in written word very well.
I know i made a comment about you in this thread but i did not say you had a lesser mind just that ryan had a better one. not a attack on you at all.

That is far from saying i hope you have a better mind than Pascal.

But our argument is becoming redundant. i ask for reasons why people hated the models and all i got was "Because". Not much for keeping a discussion going. That's why i pushed a few buttons, in hopes that people would say more than they did. Scott is the only one who actually obliged my request and I thank you for that scott.

Fair enough greg, you wanted to push ppl's buttons and get more of a response. But this is the internet, where strong words can quickly get out of control. I do not appreciate such verbal tactics. enough said.

Paz, i wasn't meaning to push your buttons though. you were the only one who had your reasons for disliking the models in your original post. it was others that had very little arument. I'm sorry for allowing it to escalate to where it did. I thought you would not have taken offense with me using your name to push someone else as i regularily harass you.

Anyway to the topic of the thread let's keep it on the models and not use it to fight. I'm guessing this thread will now be dead as i don't think anyone else has anything to say. Maybe Scott will...

People have different opinions on a lot of things. I'm sorry that you are in the minority. Does that mean you need to push peoples buttons however? Why can't I just not like a horrible sculpt. Scott said it best mention that the sculpter =I=censor=I= in one hand and puked in the other. I can't beat that. And you definately don't need to take offence. Too each there own, right?

much love greg

My stats are 100% accurate 45% of the time. Matt is just saying that he likes them to go against the flow of society.. he is an anarchist, didnt you know that?

Im not sure if were still just joking on the thread or not, but it's getting borderline.

I personally dont think there's any problem with someone saying "they don't like it" and not providing a reason. Weve had lots of threads about new models, and I dont think anyone here is under peer pressure to say they dislike or like a model. Lots of us have been in the mini hobby for a long time, and we know what we like/dislike.

I dont like it personally because the thought of marines riding wolves is retarded to me. As well, his pose is very plain.. one claw in the air.. The other character is in the exact same pose as the old Col. Schaeffer mini.. weapon up, pistol down in mid-walk. Who would ever do that.. it just feels wrong and looks wrong. Plus, space wolf spikey hair is fugly.. and he's got the full on do going there.

So, there are my opinions. Maybe in the future if we start a thread about mini's, we'll do it as a poll. Do you like the new Space Wolf mini. If fact, Ill do that right now!

Have I mentioned yet its cool to see Cam back on the forums! Woo hoo!

I guess the reason i was grasping for people's reasons for hating them is because i was the only one to post that i liked them. I wanted to start a discussion as to why they were hated and i felt like a few people flamed me for asking for them to expand. but as i got a few reasons, i'm still unconvinced that these are GW bad sculpts (minus the haircuts which do really suck).

Wow.. just going through some of the other forums about the mini's, some serious stuff going on.

I dont think Ive ever such a huge debate regarding one mini (were talking about the wolf riding marine here) ever. Theres alot of people who very strongly dislike it, a group of people who are more or less indifferent.. not good, not bad, then a group of people who are mad at the people who dislike because of their reasons.

When was the last time a mini came out that caused this much talkage?

I was just reading all the arguments on bols and i have to agree that there is lots of different opinions on this.

Those of us that like the model seem to be the fiercest in our arguments it seems though. Those that don't like it tend to just throw it out that it's a terrible idea or that it looks silly.

There has also been a lot of grumbling that the codex is over powered.

There is a particular fear over a psychic abilities "Maw of the Great Wolf" (or something like that) that removed all models in a 24" line that fail an init. test. VERY powerful against certian lists and almost a waste against others. The biggest grips about this one is coming for Nid plays saying that it is the ultimate Fex killer.

What Greg is trying to say is that you could all be a little more like me. It would help you in the long term.

Also Buffalo are actually retarded. They're the dumbest animals. Way dumber then Cows. I once saw a buffalo try to =I=censor=I= a tractor.

It's been done Robyn. "This Blaster! Twenty men enter only Blaster leave!"

That's probably the best midget riding a retard movie out there. And there's been tons.

Just an update that the SW models are on the advanced orders section of GW site with the ability to blow up the pics for a better look.

The basic wolf marine back is way amazing as it come with "10 multi-part plastic Space Wolves miniatures that can be assembled as Grey Hunters, Blood Claws or Wolf Guard in power armour. This 218-piece set includes: two each of five different leg variations, two each of six torso variants and two each of five backpack variants, and 56 heads.

Also included are a selection of plasma pistols, chainswords and boltguns, and two each of: power swords, thunder hammer and storm shield, wolf claws, plasma guns, storm bolters, power fists. Additionally there are a host of wolf tail talismans, knives and icons to add to your models. Models supplied with 25mm round bases"

$42 for that stuff. Most amount of bits i've ever seen in my model buying experience.

Yeah, go to www.belloflostsouls.com and scroll down a bit, they have pictures of the baisc sprues.. fron and back close-up photos.

The box itself is amazing. If you grab a basic marine tac box.. you can mix in all sorts of stuff. It is a fantastic box..

And Scott, I completely missed your post the first time around. For sure.. in the category of Tardsploitation ... Thunderdome sits at the top. Id give Goonies a second, and of course Chasing Amy a third.

Now those are nice! There is a ton of stuff, and so much individuality to each piece. I even like the new heads. They look more like angry norsemen, and less like goth berzerkers.
