MayDay 2009 Convention in Edmonton

Hello Hunters of the Warp,

MayDay 2009 is a miniature wargames convention hosted by the Edmonton Wargame Group, coming up on May 1 and 2.

Of interest to this forum would be the 40K Hall of Heroes tournament on the Saturday.

Registration opens March 11 this year and closes April 22. Please check out our site for more details.

Hmm, 1850 points eh? Kinda weird point level but just means more flamer fun for me.

Edmonton's a bit far though, except for the bus the only way to get down there is if there's a few of us willing to carpool.

Im definately wanting to go, but i won't have a car at this time. a carpool will be needed to make this trip possible.

Well if no one steps up, I can try to get my car up and running by then. Though it still needs some repairs so there's going to be some uncertainty about that.

I'll be going. I will probably be staying with a friend. But I could give 2 people rides if needed.

I'll prolly be going, If'n I can hitch a ride. I have a friend in Edmonton who'll put me up as well.

I'd be interested in going. I technically have a car (As in I own a car, but my family pools our three vehicles, and we're loath to go a whole weekend without one of them =P). My big issue will be accomodations. I'll have to pry my networks and see what I can arrange.

Huh, 1850 pts eh? Might need to get another Crisis Suit. Read up on that XV-81 Command Suit that has the Smart Missiles on a Crisis Suit (Shas'El, Smart Missiles, TL Missile Pods, Multi-tracker, 6 shot missile boat for 93pts). Wicked cool, only problem is I'd need to make a Forge World Order in order to get at it, and I'd question whether that would get here in time.

So what's the plan for transportation? I won't have a car in time for the trip so unfortunetly I'm going to have to resort to hitching a ride.

We still have some tablespace in the GW tournaments, so I extended the registration to April 30.
