~Gardens of Isha WEEK 8!!!!!~
NOTE: I havent done this in a bit, but ppl be askin, so here she is!
BIG NOTE: EVERYONE WHO MAKES AT LEAST 1 BATREP WILL RECEIVE ONE EXTRA POINT FOR FINALS, IT COULD DECIDE TIES!!!
feel free to post in this topic short narrative blurbs about your game!
Who/when/where, and how the battle went, and I'll add it into the gestalt narrative of the campaign in some way!
It'll really help if you include your warlord's name/classification, get your dude to be a central figure! Warlord kills will also be cool to include, getting your boss to injure another character/ get wounded him/her/itself as well! All optional of course.

Re: ~Gardens of Isha WEEK 8!!!!!~
Fleetmaster Apraxyn, leader of the Kabal of the Cloaked Serpent, could almost feel the cold point of dagger tips at his back. It had been too long since the first victory against the Necrons. Too long had his warriors had to live on scraps of pain and see their ships continue to dwindle in numbers. The Fleetmaster knew he would need to reassess his battle strategy to regain the confidence of his crew. If not, he risked losing leadership to the one he called the Usurper. He knew his bodyguard and second in command would need to kill him one day to take command but he was a long way from losing this or any other fight.
The first opportunity came at the hands of the Tyranids. Dangerous though they were, they were not as cunning or skilled as the Fleetmaster. He lead his boats into battle and gave his warriors the taste of victory once more. He knew this would not hold them forever, however. They would need to taste pain, and victory, again... And soon.
Next came a howling cavalcade of monstrous daemons. A more difficult foe than the last but still an easy target with which to steel his fighters. Their massed poison weapons and lighting strikes a perfect match against the mindless violent need for the Daemons to strike close. Blowing up there ranged weapons first was all too easy for the dark light weaponry he had gathered on mass, leaving the warriors to taste victory at the barrels of their own guns against even the most threatening of their giant monsters.
It was finally time to slake the pain lust of all who wandered the Garden with him, and slake it well. He chose a target he knew would be risky, but not so risky as to face the blades of his own men. Perhaps the sons of Russ, the howling space vikings of the Mon'keigh, would even do him a favour and rid him of the Usurper. Either way there would be a mountain of pain, enough perhaps to keep his people in the Garden that much longer. The need to feed being more important than the need to defend the ground of their forebears.
His boats in position, the Fleetmaster started the raid with barrages of lance weaponry. He would need to expose the more delicate cargo inside the transports and keep the biggest threats at bay. They would not yield though, only striking glancing blows here and there. The space wolves would use his failure to press the advantage. Drop pods screamed from the sky and disgorged a massive contemptor dreadnought onto the field along with vikings in terminator armour and something he did not Expect... Ulrik himself. The gleam in his eye returned, however, after launching his planned counter assault. Leaving space between himself and Ulrik, Apraxyn and his trueborn sprung the trap and annihilated the contemptor in one fell swoop full of fell blaster fire. His other weapons made short work of most of the terminators escorting Ulrik but there was still time to make his move against the "hero" and his abhorrent psyker accomplice.
His bikes helping to divide and distract the enemy gave the opening he needed to finally pull the Mon'keigh from their steel boxes, trying desperately to take ground back from the Fleetmaster. However there would be another sword strike to the battle lines of the Dark Eldar. a third drop pod came crashing down revealing yet another dreadnought. Boxed in on all sides, Apraxyn ordered his remaining warriors to fire on Ulrik. He would be the last remaining hero on the field this day. The massed fire did indeed bring down Ulrik before he would need to address the situation with swords but in doing so he left a possibly even more daunting foe in his midst. The dreadnought crashed forward and immolated what was left of his guard. Filled with the suffering and agony of friend and foe alike he was power drunk enough to face down even the hulking faceless sarcophagus.
Bonus: Marshal's booty in the background.
Try as he might he would never bring the monster down but he didn't need to. The rest of his weapons were winning the fight and, if he held out long enough he would snatch victory from the proverbial jaws of defeat. Lithe and light on his feet the Fleetmaster was far too fast for the dreadnaught and the great hulking machine could not find purchase in Dark Eldar flesh. All objectives accomplished the battle ended and the coursing ships left the battlefield, leaving only death and ruin behind for the enemies who would seek to plunder the Garden.
Victory was once again sweet on Aprayn's lips.
