So this is out now, with rules to download. A nice thing is that it would only take a very minor amount of tweaking to turn a Nephilim into one of these.

Be better off fielding it as itself than a neph; the neph is just a poor unit all together.

That is, use one's existing Neph fighter, tweak the model a little bit, bam.  Xiphon.

I really dig the Nephelim model, it looks so dang cool. It's just that the rules are pretty weak.

4 shots a turn, all ap2, str 8+, and the lascannon are BOTH twinlinked.

Agile as well.

Replace the HB on the neph with lascannon. Replace the blackswords if you are anal. Done like dinner.
The really scary thing is I have a list I can cram *2* into.

Played it in 3 games now (taking 2). It plays how the Nephilim *should* play. If no flyers, it pretty much takes out a vehicle a turn (also likes small units). I just ordered up another one so you guys don't have to play against "Blocky".

That thing is damn nasty as being one of the 3 he faced lol, only down fail is only 2 hull points but I guess everything need a weakness lol even a small one

It's a very... umm, logical ship? It looks good.. it does what it's supposed to do.. blow flyers away, and 205+ points for a hp 2 flyer for what it does really seems damn reasonable.

I think it's great for DA, and such. If it's a Vanilla list, I think the Talon gives you more bang for your buck.

If you use this a lot Beau you might be responsible for people taking an Aegis line with Quad-Gun again!
