So if I were to take the flesh tearers detachment would they still have the red thirst rule or no.

I'd think so, are they part of the Blood Angels faction? An allied detachment has to have a different faction than your primary faction too, if I remember correctly.

when you're using the blood angels codex, all of their successors have the same rules they do. its just a matter of what shade of red you want to be.
