1750 list

I haven't made a list that included a Land Raider for a VERY long time.
What are your guys thoughts?

Since the LR is a dedicated xport for the assault squad I not only get a 35pt deduction on it, but it also scores with objective secured.

Discount Raider?? Neat.

Yeah, don't know if that's something the Angels get to keep in their future dex, but when you remove their jump packs you can choose any of the dedicated xports at a 35pt reduced cost.

No, DA assault squads can only get a pod or rhino for free. HOWEVER, I can give a dedicated Raider to a Terminator squad and make it venerable!

According to the FAQ, DA can make any land raider venerable. But when bought as a terminator bus, it has to be made venerable.

The main point here being that it's a nigh unkillable Land Raider with obj. secured ...................for 280 pts before upgrades.

If only LR had a save vs Glancing hits   

List looks neat Matt. Would be worth a whirl to test it out. Although not to much anti-infantry other than dudes with bolters if you run into hordes. Lots of anti-tank/MC thought with the lascannons/melta/special ammo.

They have a save vs glances. It's called AV14:)

Well I was specifically thinking against things like Grav-guns. That just auto-glance.

They should be able to get a cover save still?
