0_26.07_014_M03 (July 26, 2014) The Dragonis Incursion is Underway!

I was going back through the rules to confirm my army list and I've come along something rather vexing.
The fluff says that massive amount of imperial forces have staged on this planet right?
Thusly I find it a "little" hard to believe no fortifications of any type were established?
Especially if there are key strategic points around the planet.
You think they'd like you know protect them?
Just my thought but maybe you could limit points spent on fortifications rather then remove them completely?

I mean I don't think many peeps are going to roll in with Macro-Cannon Aquila Storngpoints lol.

The trick is to make the day fun and fluffy yet balanced. Fortifications and Lords of War were removed for this purpose. Don't worry, the missions make up for it, you'll see.

I'm just wary because if I bring my DE I usually heavily rely on Forts to cover their shatty shatty anti air.  Psn Weps don't do so good against air.

DE and Fortifications don't belong in the same sentence anyways, unless it's "The Dark Eldar are overrunning our fortifications!" That's just a thing you will need to take into consideration, I guess

Also it is counterproductive to have a unique mission for the terrain on each table when people are bringing fortifications.

I looked it up and I think it's a formation. Those are allowed, abiding by their ally requirements and tournament composition.

Minor quibble is it a formation or an Apoc datasheet? The source I have specifies the latter. I don't particularly have an issue with it, just pointing it out.

Right, so after acquiring a "digital" copy of the supplement, this is a formation datasheet that is officially supposed to be used in apoc. However, this was written in 6th, and the line between apoc, datasheets, and formations is quite fuzzy and grey these days, and it's not super OP or anything, We can allow it.

Please bring the rules for any extra stuff you are bringing and check how it may interact with your Dragonis army. This applies to everyone, btw

Assuming I can have the build finished in time, I was eyeing up using a Decimator Daemon Engine, with it's non-USR smash rule (going for dual siege claws). Since I haven't seen anyone use one of those around here, just want to verify it's kosher before I get too far along the build, as it will be a good 230 points of my list.

doubt your going to find anyone complaining about a decimator unless then run a land raider at it instead of fireing the lascannons at it... its your 230 points. Dude needs a jump pack or a red paint job badly.
