Chariots in 7th
I was going to do a thread on things I noticed changed in 7th... then I got to the Chariot rules.
HOLY SHIT SNACKING CRACKERS
Allow me to attempt to summarize....
1) Riders cannot disembark anymore, Chariots & Riders are a single model (that suks, right??? no... keep reading)
2) If a Necron Lord on a Chariot is removed as a casualty and makes it's everliving roll, it's returned to play with a single hull-point
3) When shooting at a chariot, put all the hits into a pool. THE CHARIOT OWNER ASSIGNS THE HIT POOL TO THE RIDER OR THE CHARIOT
4) No more free +1 save to the rider
5) THE RIDER COUNTS AS STATIONAIRY WHEN FIRING, and is FEARLESS and RELENTLESS
6) When fighting the chariot in an assault, you can hit the rider or the chariot (like before)
6a) YOU ALWAYS HIT AGAINST THE FRONT ARMOUR
6b) YOU ALWAYS ROLL TO HIT AGAINST THE RIDERS WS
7) CHARIOTS CAN'T BE IMMOBILIZED, just loses a hull point for a failed dangerous terrain check. Otherwise, Immo counts as stunned
The rider CAN issue or accept challenges
9) Chariots are now locked in combat (both good and bad)
10) A CHARIOT CAN RE-ROLL one or more of the dice when determining it's charge range!
11) Sweep attacks are gone (unless you're a Necron, because they're in your codex, my good man).
I dub 7th, the age of the Surfboard Lord.

Interesting. One the one hand, I can't use it as a means to drop someone with Phaeron into a squad as a response to need mid-to-late game. On the other hand, it's a AV 13 fast skimmer with WBB...
Any mention if the Quantum Shielding reboots when it gets back up?

Ya... kinda good too, now. Kinda really good.
Move 12" shoot your S5 AP 3 torrent flamer... seems okay, or your Las cannons. Get shot at with bolters? Take it on the vehicle. Autocannon (S6/7 shots)? Rider will take that.
So good. So so good. He's decent in close combat now too, especially with an etherblade.
Edit: You hit my surfboard lord with the "D"? I'll make that 3++ save now... sooo good.

The Burning Chariot dude is T4. W3, 5++ Tzeentch, and powers that affect the chariot, affect him (so he could be 4++ re-roll ones, or better 3++ re-roll ones with the book)

Re: Chariots in 7th
I was just reading through the chariot rules this afternoon.. ive been holding out hope the skullcannon might get a boost or even more exciting, a khorne herald on bloodthrone. Still not convinced the throne would be worth the points over a jugger, but itd be nice to be immune to the small arms fire
