Moar Daemonology Deets
From the depths of Natfka
=====
Everyone but tyranids have access to the Daemonology Discipline, which is broken down into two sets of powers, Sanctic and Maelfic.
Grey Knights can use Sanctic powers but not Maelfic ones.
All other psykers can use Sanctic powers but suffer perils on any doubles whether successful or not.
Daemons can use Maelfic powers but not Sanctic.
All other pskyers can use Maelfic powers but suffer perils on any doubles whether successful or not.
Edit====
I hope CSM can use Maelfic Powers without double perils :-P
Edit 2====
Confirmation (screencap of rules on Dakka) "Psykers with the Daemon special rule..." ooooo Changling just got awesome.

From what I'm hearing "Sanctic" is supposed to be "Sanctified". So, the question is now, is this other discipline, being available to Grey Knights with no risks, going to be the new home for things like Hammerhand, Dark Excommunication, et cetera?

Hmm.. psykers with daemon rule. So if you want..you could turn your sorceror into a daemon to use it. Hmm.. big price to pay to summon darmons for your csm.
I like it for daemons.. i just teally wish khorne had some better anti psyker abilities. In fantasy.. each marked unit of khorne would generate an extra dispel dice. If you were playing all khorne. There was a good chance your opponent wouldnt be casting much unless he was tzeentch which generated an extra casting dice for each marked unit.
Might be different now but would still be nice to see some units generate some strong anti psyker abilities.

The big thing for me is that will they be able to swap codex for BRB powers on basic squads. That would be boss. Most games I don't end up casting Hammerhand much from the regular squads (since I want to be able to activate force weapons).

Man, if strike squads could self-prescience themselves every turn...

I dunno Tom. I've seen how you cast psychic powers. You'd have a lot of dead strike dudes. =P
But really I'd like the squads to have access to Santic and their book powers. That would make me happy.

From what I'm hearing, you only Perils on normal powers if you double 6 your roll. If I only need a 4+ on one dice to turn on twin-linking, I'll toss that roll every time to have half my strike squads enhanced with no real risk.

Re: Moar Daemonology Deets
Looks like the plan is to get more diverse spells getting cast.
But, i'm not sure i'm a fan of changing the plan from every single caster taking precience....... to every single caster getting a random roll and then getting prescience as well for free...

Thinking about it I hope they swap Prescience and Scriers gaze. Would make sense to me fluff wise. Drastically reduces the effectiveness of divination if you don't guarantee prescience.

Re: Moar Daemonology Deets
Since they recalled all the cards instead of just releasing the 2 new demon focused groups as expansion packs, they may very well flip around the placement of each power on the d6, and even change the warp charges for ones they see overused. Prescience might become a 2 or 3 charge power.
Re: Moar Daemonology Deets
There was a rumour floating around that Prescience would be a 2-charge power.
