Competition #4 -- Troops

The polls for Competition #3 - Objectives should automatically close themselves down in the next hour or two, and so that brings us to the next competition: Troops!

Participating with building a minimum sized squad will award you 5 points, with an additional point per head available up to a cap of an additional 5.

For example: if someone built and painted 5 Chaos Space Marines, they'd get the base 5 points.  If they then painted up 4 more they would have 9 points.  If they found some spare time and painted up another 2, they'd have a total of 10 points (11 painted -- Minimum squad size of 5 (for 5 points) + 5 additional dudes (for 1 point a head x5) + 1 extra (no additional points)).

If your army has a means of manipulating the Force Organization Chart to make elites into troops, then they can be used for this competition.

Additional points will be available for the following votes:
Best overall painted squad (5 points)
Best painted single figure (general a squad champ) (5 points)

Some troop choices don't come with a squad champ, but nothing is stoping you from having someone look like they should be!  When you make your competition blog, be sure to make clear which model you wish to use for your best painted single.

The submissions for the competition will come to a close on March 22, and voting will begin on March 23.

If I paint 3 crisis suits, is that 5 points, 3, or 6 (point per wound?)

I can't believe I didn't notice a question here until now.

What's the minimum squad size on a squad of suits?

Also, is anyone actually in on this one? Or am I just stressing over my slow progress on the Daemonettes for no reason?

Depending how much work gets done I might submit some wraithguard. Other than that I'm not in at all.

Do we need before and after pics or can we just have after pics

I'm planning on doing deathwing termies/tacticals/ravenwing bikers. Don't expect anything before Apr 1.

Perhaps it might be best to simply have a hiatus on the competitions until such a time as more people are ready to go in on them at the same time.
