Potential Astro list

So I was thinking about Astronomi-con the other day and brainstomed a list. I highly doubt I'll be able to go in Feb, just due to having used most of my husband points to play league games/tournaments here (and the fact that they still haven't released any sort of schedule/venue information). But I still like thinking about and constructing lists. So here is what I came up with for Grey Knights that would be interesting to play.


HQ - Coteaz - 100 (warlord - re-roll reserves warlord trait)

HQ - Ordos Malleus Inq. - TDA; Psycannon; Psyker (lvl 1) = 110

Elite - Techmarine - Orbital Strike Relay = 140

Troop - GK SS x10 - 2x Psycannon = 220
DT - Razorback - Psybolt Am. = 50

Troop - GK SS x10 - 2x Psycannon = 220
DT - Razorback - Psybolt Am. = 50

Troop - Henchmen Warband - 6 warrior acolytes with 3x plasma = 54
DT - Chimera = 55

Troop - Henchmen Warband - 6 warrrior acolytes with 3x melta = 54
DT - Chimera = 55

FA - Stormraven - TL - Multi-melta; TL - Assault Cannon; Hurricane bolters; Psybolt Am. = 255

Heavy - Dreadnought - 2xTL Autocannons; Psybolt Am. = 135

= 1498

Gives me 4-6 scoring units. Decent amount of dakka from all the storm bolters, hvy bolters, multi-lasers and 5 psycannons. Lots of vehicles to hide in if I play against Tau/Hellturkies. I have good AA from the Stromraven. I lack a little bit of AT although the OSR from the techmarine could put the hurting with a prescienced str10/ap1 small blast. Also have strong psychic defense in the form of lots of stuff being a psyker/the aegis/greater aegis. Upside is that I own everything except for the Stormraven (Darren didn't have one when I was there for the boxing week sale   )

I'd be tempted to bring my Highlander list. Suffers -2 (-1 for over 300 HQ's, -1 for over 300 Heavy).

This list suffers -1 from to many points of dedicated transports as far as I can tell.

What did you bring to Highlander? Eldar?

5 Avengers in a Serpent with an Exarch (would switch to Dire Sword instead of Shimmershield)
5 Avengers on foot
10 Warp Spiders w\ an Exarch
Fireprism

For most Astro missions, almost the whole list is scoring...

Yea I dunno if I could handle that list with this one. Without any sort of barrage I'd have to try and sandwich your guardian blob. Although Warp Spiders are a lot less scary with warp quake. Would be interesting to say the least.

Well warp spiders dont deepstrike too much least when i play them. With a 3+ armor save they are fairly durable, if you're careful and they're so bloody fast i usually start them on the table in my games. Everyone plays a little different though

I start them on the board over half the time.

I used them for a long time since "back in the day" you had unlimited storage. Now not so much.

Looks like a good event. Winnipeg in late May is eminently derivable, although it's the long weekend. 1000 pts is all one would have to bring eh.... hrm... 1000 pts...
