Here is my first attempt at a Farsight Enclaves list.

Farsight Enclave 1,500pt Highlander:

Ethereal w/ Homing Beacon: 55

Troops: 801
3 Suit Crisis Team w/ 2 Suits w/ Fusion Gun x2 and Target Lock, 1 Suit w/ Fusion Gun, Target Lock, Vectored Retrothrusters and Bonding Knife Ritual: 164 points
3 Suit Crisis Team w/ 3 Suits w/ Missile Pods x2 and Target Lock, Bonding Knife Ritual, and 6 Marker Drones: 246 points
Kroot Squad w/ 20 Kroot, 1 Kroot Hound and Sniper Rounds: 145 Points
1 Suit Crisis Team w/ 1 Suit w/ Missile Pods x2 and Target Lock, Bonding Knife Ritual and 2 Marker Drones: 82

Seems solid. I expect you'll be coughing up VP's with that ethereal, you've got nowhere for him to hide (effectively).

In the Kroot unit, he'll get focus fired. In any suit unit, there's not a lot of other bodies (with marine statline... Ick)

Even joined to the Ovesa unit and still being majority T6, he's still not safe from Barrage and janky unit placement.

I am a fan of how you got Marker drones in the list though.

I am a little concerned about the ethereal's well being but I need a source of stubborn in the army and he does still have look out sir rolls to save him when things get really hairy.

Well remember if they happen to be in a forest he does not have "stealth (forest)" and as such his cover save will be different and can be chosen as the sole recipient of all shooting. He can look out sir them all, but its a bit of a downer. It is the same thing if a non white scar character joins a white scar biker unit (since they have skilled rider).

It's even worse, they don't have skilled rider, but each "model" has +1 to its cover save.

btw, I was just wondering. You guys say that the ethereal does not gain the benefits of the stealth from the kroot, but the stealth rules states that as long as one model has it, the whole squad has it. That's the same wording as stubborn, a rule which it specifically states under the independent character rule that it applies. Is there something I don't know here preventing the ethereal from getting the stealth?

You're right, stealth transfers. Doesn't for the scars. He's still getting focus fired though, unless you're super duper careful with model placement.

Perhaps I'm the one mistaken then. As long as it specifies one model in the unit then yes he would. Hooray!

With focus fire don't you just pick a cover save and that's the cutoff? If Stealth transfers the only way he'll have a different save and could be focus fired, is if he's the only one out of terrain.
