Although this does make sense. Privateer press just upped all their prices across the board for their all metal models because of the price of tin. Glad plastic isn't going up!

At least the Privateer Press players won't be affected by the increase inpaint prices, 'cause it's tough painting up 12 models for your entire army....
....After dishing out his wicked blaze on the PP people Scott runs away from the keyboard and jumps over the door into his convertible dodge viper with bitchin' flames on the side and his "GW4LIFE" license plate. As he pushes the accelerator all the way to the floor he cranks the stereo blaring the opening bars to "The Final Countdown". Scott adjusted the rearview mirror so he could get a good look at himself as his smirking grin spread ear to ear. "Boo-yah baby, boo-yah.".
What an awesome burn.

Hmmm...
Well they said that they were getting too greedy and this hurt themselves in the end, but are raising prices again. It doesn't matter what the price change is for, raising prices hurt their business before, so what do they think? Because it is for a different reason it wont affect sales???

Re: Here we go again
If prices got to go up, they got to go up.
I really don't feel the price of the hobby is what has made GW suffer recently. If we sat down and got everyone to wrtie their top ten hobby related frustrations I don't think you'd see cost at the top of people's lists. I will glady pay extra for the models if they maintain their quality. My personal frustrations have been with the poor quality of White Dwarf, Insane 7th ed Warhammer army books, price inequity between us and the States etc.
I know Flames of War made a price increase recently for the same reasons, and sounds like Privateer Press also did the same so it might be less of an evil conspiracy by GW and an actual neccesity based upon raw goods.
By the amount of forge world gear that hits the tabletop here I know most players agree with paying high price for high quality, I juts hope the standards of the figs can be maintained.
