The Damocles Gulf is the are where the Tau and Imperium meet. A number of actions have been fought over this area. Most recently they have updated this in the Tau codex where they manage to capture a "gateway" world potentially putting the whole sector at risk.

it was jest St 6 not AP 3 and i was going with my gut on that one why my gut said St 6 idk.

Yeah, and a whole squad of guardsmen doing First Rank Second Rank with what are effectively Auto/Assault cannons, at AP 3 none the less, is kind of BS.

When in doubt, check it out. The book exists for a reason. At that point, having never played against Guard before, I thought briefly that maybe Hot Shot Las Guns were "da shit", but that much omph out of a 4 point model shouldn't happen.

Also, I'd highly recommend investing in some kind of markers or tokens so you can track your order giving better. Between that and nailing down it is ALL ORDERS then ALL REMAINING SHOOTING, not a back and forth between the two, which can easily lead to confusion and squads shooting multiple times in one phase (which they can't, it's order shooting OR regular, not both). I hear Brush4Hire is putting out a nice laser cut acrylic set of markers and tokens soon, maybe you should check it out.

Finally, your wargear does what your wargear does, so you vox caster doesn't get to swap out the ability to reroll to gain infinite range on orders. Maybe that would be something spiffy for a campaign kind of game, but you don't seem to get all that many of those in, so stick to what the book says you get, and not what you think would be nifty instead.

Also, looking through C:IG, I have found no evidence of those "Red Dot Sights" you used against me in that first match. You had them act as some sort of cross between a Search Light and Black Sun Filter.
