Djinn-Sight - this unit reduces the cover save its opponent has by -2. if they have 4+ cover, its now 6. if they have 5+ cover, they no longer have any cover save. infiltrator units cannot deploy within 24" of this unit either, regardless of line of sight.

Options:
entire squad may take melta bombs @ 5pts per model in the unit

any model may upgrade CCW to a Heavy Chainblade for +5pts

1 in every 3 models may replace lightning gun with:
Multi Laser +5
Phase-Plasma Fusil +10
Irrad-cleanser +10
Multi-Melta +15
Photon Thruster +25

entire unit can take one of the following upgrades for 25pts:
Destructor - Tank Hunter
Icarian - has skyfire if unit didnt move that turn
Ferrox - Rage and melee weapon gains Rending
Empyrite - Deep Strike


oddly, the first heresy book doesnt give you the statline for the mechanicum specific wargear and weapons, so i have no idea what the lightning gun's stats are.

Wouldn't it just be funny if the stat line was 24", Str 5, AP --, Assault 1, Tesla?

since paz was awesome and realized they hid the ad mech wargear descriptions at the back of the SM legions stuff (table of contents doesnt tell you this. shame on me for thinking the book would have a detailed TOC), here's the stats on the wargear these guys have that we never heard of before:


Lorica Thallax - armor that gives 4+ save, and 6+ Feel No Pain. cannot make sweeping advances.
Lightning Gun - range 18, s7, ap5, heavy 1, shred, rending.
Heavy Chainblade - S +2, AP 5 melee
Phased-Plasma Fusil - 24" S 6, AP 3, Salvo 2/3
Irrad-cleanser - Template, S 2, AP 5, Assault 1, Fleshbane, Rad-Phage (multi-wound models that suffer a wound from this weapon are permanently -1 toughness for the rest of the game.)
Photon Thruster - 48" S 6, AP 2, Heavy 2, Lance, Blind, Gets Hot!
