Inquisition & Deathwatch fluffyness
ok, so the other night paz gave me the idea of an inquisitor force using the deathwatch models im painting as allies, and i came up with this. never playing henchmen, i probably botched them, but it seems fluffy and its more a fun list with a theme in mind rather than "win me games damn you!" list.

Re: Inquisition & Deathwatch fluffyness
since im also going to try to steer away from the usual GW models wherever possible to make them look more unique, i think i'll use these as the warriors with storm bolters:

I think over all you would be better served by halberds on the Purifiers than falcons. Getting your hits in before counter swings often will yield you better results than that one extra swing per dude.

Re: Inquisition & Deathwatch fluffyness
not without chopping a henchman squad, or the purifiers.
since kantor's there, they're a scoring unit anyways, so im not gonna do the "drop pod, suicide, yay!!!" gimmick. its really an excessive waste of points anyways that could net you nothing if you roll poorly. they're more....of a reinforced escort for the inquisitor, or a heavier home objective sitter.
regarding the halberd, those guys are already made and I've since sold their halberds off a long time ago. and in my experience with vanilla, if you're fighting xenos, you're either fighting something that's either a) such a higher initiative than you that +2 init wont make a difference, or b) he's already lower than your base 4 init. and with such a small group, i'd rather have the extra attacks to pull off more possible wounds. however, if i was to make the purifiers 10 strong, i'd take another special weapon, 1 more falchion, and 3 halberds.
the fact purifiers come with base 2 attacks makes them, to me, the most reasonable choice for falchions in the codex, since getting them to charge means 4 attacks per guy, which at AP3 is pretty good.
i'd also consider dropping something for an assassin, as they seem interesting
