Chaos Space Marine Army List
I have the Chaos figures for Dark Vengeance and that's it. What would be some good editions to make it League playable? Thanks in advance!

FA: Heldrake for sure. Spawn and Bikes are good now, but the Heldrake is hands down the best unit in the entire book.
Heavy support you kinda can't go wrong. Oblits, Havocs, and Preds are ALL good. The Daemon engine stuff is fun, but tend to eat up points.
Troops: I'm in favor of cheap 9 and 10 man squads in Rhinos, but its hard to go wrong. If you are gonna play the cultists I'd grab a second set of cultist to bulk them out.
Elites: I found this the hard part of the list. Reaper/ML Dreads aren't horrible, but nothing from Elites blows me away.
HQ: You're already covered, but a sorceror, or marked lord couldn't hurt. You kinda can go nuts with this section.
You're just starting out, so I'd suggest going with infantry units more or less. They are the cheapest ($$$ wise) way to expand your force. More importantly, go with what looks cool to YOU. If you think the defiler or whatnot is the coolest mini, go for it. Don't feel like you HAVE to take a particular unit because the internetz say so.
Except the heldrake. The internetz are completely correct there:)

Re: Chaos Space Marine Army List
There's some interesting MTO builds (Maximum Threat Overload) that are based on taking 6 units of 10 nekkid cultists for scoring, then grabbing drakes, spawn with attached lord on something quick (Khorne Lord on a Juggy), Bikes, preditors, maulerfiends, forgefiends, termicide units (cheap termies with mixed power weapons and combi).
But ya, what Beau said, except for cultists. Nothing wrong with a 10-man cultist unit. Unless you roll up Purge the Alien.

*slowly widening grin.* Ravenwing lurves them some cultists. aint that right mark?
Re: Chaos Space Marine Army List
Tom vs. Robyn in the playoffs was also a bad time for 10 man cultists blobs because of kill points. Cultists don't like it when you barf 10 Necron Warriors on top of them and rapid fire them down.

Some people convert them over to Chaos with spiky bits and such, others sell and/or trade them off piecemeal to get more Chaos that way.

Ya, with a basic Chaos Marines 10 man infantry box you get enough spikey bits to convert most of the dark angels to chaos. The main differences are the helmets and the backpacks. Chaos ones are bigger and have more horns and spikes. Power armour and boltguns are rather similar.
Otherwise, I do believe they are in demand and you could therefore trade them or sell them.

OK, I think I'd try to sell them, they aren't painted or anything.
