storm talon changes

so, looking at my ipad codex, and i see the following changes to storm talons:

• cost dropped from 130 base to 110 base.
  
• skyhammer missiles from 25pts to 15pts
  
• lascannons from 20pts to 30pts
  
• typhoon missiles from 25pts to 35pts
  
• Special rules changed from being "Aerial Assault, Escort Craft, Hover Strike, Supersonic" to "Escort Craft, Strafing Run"
  
• unit type changed from "Vehicle (flyer)" to "Vehicle (Flyer, Hover)"

If i played marines, i'de field a 125 point talon with skyhammers.

I would probably modify the model =x. but i think thats a fair price.

yea, i was pleased at that price change, because the first one i converted to look more like an apache gunship is loaded exactly that way. so he went from being 155 to 125. yay.

Well I thought that layout to be best for the Stormtalon as well. It keeps the role more focused (everything mid str with ap4) on anti-infantry/light vehicles.

Can dark angels use the Talon?

Are they stuck with just their Codex ones? I thought I heard someone say something similar.

Dork talon or nerd fighter only

dark angels get only the dork angel flyers their new codex dropped with.

space marines and black templar now have both the storm talon and the storm raven.

if you own an ipad and the digital space marine codex, the changes DftS makes for them is already in the codex as of family day. black templars will have to buy the book however to see what FoC slots they'll use and if there's any different wargear/options in theirs.
