Poor lonely abaddon

So if a character can't join units with another mark, does that mean abaddon can only join unmarked units seeing that he has all marks?

It just says that a character cant join a unit if it has a different mark then it does.

Abaddon counts as having all the marks... So he can join any unit.

Unless im missing something?

But if he joins berserkers he has 3 different marks from them. He has 4 marks but its still different from whatever he joins unless its unmarked.

Hmm.. It doesnt say though. It just says an independent must have the same mark of a unit he joins if he has it.. Not that he cant join if he has multiple.

It reads if he has a different mark he can't join and he can only join units with the same mark. Problem is he he both has a different mark and the same mark at the same time.

The line from the Chaos Marks explanation seems pretty clear to me with respect to Abbadon.

He may join any unit with one of the four marks or unmarked units.

HOWEVER, one thing that occurs to me is that if Abbadon is tagging along with some Plague Marines, Then Typhus would not be able to join the unit of Plague Marines, because it included models marked with things other than just Nurgle.
