dark vengeance test mini

the october issue of WD had the paint recipes for the 4 heresy-era legion armors in the new HH Betrayal book. we decided to redo candi's army as Sons of Horus so if she decides to buy any models out of character from a nurgle army, people wouldn't ask why. like thousand sons. or berserkers.

this is done with a basecoat of mechanicus standard grey,
then a drybrush of necron compound (think i overdid it on a couple spots though)
then a wash of coelia greenshade. (here they said wash of waywatcher green, but that's a glaze and was making certain spots neon instead of making the armor overall pale green like it should be)

the golds are just balthasar gold.

I'd thind a purple wash and glaze the gold a few times. Should work well with the green armour.

hmm, yea i think your right. i'll see if she's up to doing that too. i did this one for her to show the recipe, but it'll be the wife that does the rest.
