Vallejo Paints Order

Hey guys, i am in dire need of some new paints, and in my opinion the best out there for my particular painting style are the vallejo line. Apparently Darren can no longer get them, so i am going to do an order from the sentry box in calgary in the next few weeks. All the paints that are on the sentry box site are listed under the vallejo drop down in the game color, and model color sections.

It will probably be a while before i order, so just a heads up.

I need a ton(ne) of vallejo re-stock for my stuff.

Two colors everybody should have are German grey (995 I think) and the German SS Camo Black brown (don'r remember the number)

How do they do shipping? If they offer to let us pay for shipping LMK as I can get my brother to recieve them collect at 85% off through purolator.

These paints are fantastic, and anyone curious should look at some of the sets Darren has at the Den for Flames of War. Their Vallejo Model Color and they're absolutely fantastic. I reccomend every pick up the "quartermasters set) as it's got all the basics and they're well worth it.

Yea that is fantastic Robert, thanks for putting it up. I also want to note that the paints Darren is carrying at the den are perfectly fine for most applications. I have used vallejo from start to finish with my slaanesh army, and they are much better for the way i paint. I find that the reaper colors dont dilute well, but are really good if you are not blending.
And of course the GW is pretty good, but it has a much smaller line compared to the massive amount of paints in the vallejo model and game lines. I also hate the paint pot. It is such a pain in the but for people who want to mix paints. It is almost impossible to have any consistent ratio, even when watering the paint down.
So i would only recommend these paints for people who have used them before, or people who have read up on them first. For most people the selection at the den should be more than adequate, and the vallejo would be a waste of money (they are expensive!)

One last thing i should point out here to anyone interested in ordering. The one flaw in the vallejo line is there metallics. They are horrible. I would highly recommend teh reaper metallics that the den carries. I have been using the bronze and tarnished brass and they are fantastic, best metallics i have ever used. GW would be my second pick for metallics, with vallejo a distant third.

I'm suprised to hear you don't like their mettalics. I love them and rate them much higher than reaper, and slightly better than GW. I used their game color ones for a while but the model color line is even better. Hmm....

Do you need product #'s or will name of the paints do?

Also do they sell Vallejo Model Air colors? (pre diluted for airbrush work)

The paint name and number would be good. If i have both it will minimize the chance of error on their side. I could not find the air color on the site.

Ok ladies, the paint has been ordered. I reall wanted to get it done friday, but my stupid job got in the way. They will ship tuesday with the instructions that you gave me Scott.

Paint arrived just now. It was 7$ for shipping,

It looks like there weren't any shortages.

Cam I can bring it to the Den tonight (after 7pm) or if you're in a hurry they're here at work (Prarie meats... A cut above!).
