Human//Cultist Flesh
What I like to do for flesh (and I do with reasonable success on my Orks) is a base colour, a wash, then a couple of highlights (to take away the muddyness & shineyness of the wash).
What colours should I use for the Cultists? What pale-ish colour(s) are good for human flesh. A little history.... I hate painting human flesh.

There are prob lots of simple eecipes.. But i know the old tallarn flesh with a mud wash with a tallarn flesh reapplication to the high spots and then a final tallarn/white mix highlihht gave a pale flesh colour.
I havent bought any new base flesh colours so not sure what theyre like.
Light washes of red or purple might give em a creepy look as well. I plan on trying a bunch of dofferent stuff out and keep it diverse.

Along similar lines to System Commander. It really depends on what skin coloration you want to end up with. If you want pale and sickly there were a couple of old recipies my friends used with a green or brownish base and working up with thin (possibly water down?) coats of pale skin colors turned out really well. It left the skin looking really unhealthy with a nauseated/diseased look.

I might butcher one of my old Necromunda guys this weekend and see how that works out.
I picked up some Kislev Flesh at the Den, we'll see how that looks.

The base/foundation paints were ideal for flesh i found. Paint the area..wash it.. Reapply same paint lighter in the hugher areas and you prob could call it quits.. Especially for cheap cultists. You could do a final highlight on cheekbones, nose, eye brow ridge for extra effect.
Im torn between washes and base paints as to what revolutionized painting most for me.. Both together makss thngs so darn easy for me though.. Especially for my painting style.

Here's what I did with Thiessen's dude. Kislev Flesh with an old school flesh wash and some highlights.
Edit: He has no eyebrows... uhh... because plasma.

Do you have any idea what kind of mix they used?
I wouldn't mind trying it.

i wish that i had. it turned out pretty decent for a group of guys that normally look rather par. i think they started with a 75/25 green/pale flesh and then either did two layers of washes or really thin paint going slightly more towards 25/75 green/pale. Since neither my friends or myself kept mixed paints each time we started something we just eyeballed it. In this case he started with pale flesh and added green till it was sickly enough. Hope that helps!
