Re: League Games (August 1 - 7)
I could potentially do a game sometime weekend-ish, but first I need to get my hands on the first of two work schedules which I will receive tomorrow. Any special point values or anything you want to work with?

I'm happy with anything really. My preference is 1999+1 and my take on allies is usually if your using them I will too and if you don't want to I won't.
In terms of time, I'm free any day but saturday.

I could do Friday at 7:30-ish. I get off work around 5:30, and then I would need to head into the city.

So, I plan on fielding my somewhat stable 'Cron list, what are you bringing in, out of curiosity?

Re: League Games (August 1 - 7)
Having pushed the Space Marine foot hold from their Tomb World of Mai'laun, the Necron hive mind sought more Tomb Worlds to verify and 'restore' to proper working order. To this end, it sent expeditionary forces out through dead stretches of Webway to seek out yet slumbering Tombs. One of these forces noticed what seemed to be a parasitic disturbance in their stretch of decaying Webway, a disturbance which turned out to be a den of pirates and slavers. Even within the hive mind there burned a deep hatred for the Necron's oldest enemy. The expeditionary force plunged into the pocket world hidden within the Webway to purge it of the fallen Eldar who took refuge there between raids.

Re: League Games (August 1 - 7)
Azdrubael Vect strode purposefully onto the balcony of the great tower, its massive height penetrating the clouds and allowing Vect a view of the sky. He knew a force of necrons made their approach. Unable to see his foe, Vect merely smiled and contemplated the coming battle. Not for the fight itself of course, for there where few foes in the galaxy who could even amuse the great archon in battle, but for the huge surprise he had in store for his people.
He had discovered the necrons invading into their webway long before, but decided to keep it a secret. His people had, in his mind, become decadent and lazy in their safe little hideaway. Or they simply just bored him to the point where a little carnage and destruction would liven his day. Either way, no force had penetrated into the well secured webway since the Adeptus Astartes invasion he had brought upon Commorragh himself in order to gain power. And this time he didn't even need to invite his attackers. They made it all the way on their own.
Vect's view of the sky was promply wrecked as a raider silently swooped up in front of him. His ride was here. He would let the necrons have their fun. And when the moment was right, he would strike from the shadows and shatter their forces like glass. A brief light in the dull grey world his life had become.

Re: League Games (August 1 - 7)
The Necron force descended upon the Dark Eldar capital city with vicious fury. They quickly penetrated the Dark Eldar air defense and landed in the outskirts of the city in order to avoid the main lance defenses and establish a foothold. They travelled block to block, brutalizing any who were unfortunate enough to fall upon their sights. From they sky descended three smoking Dark Eldar vehicles that just managed to stay above the necron firing range until they couldn't hold stay aloft anymore and fell to the ground. Unable to resist their prey, the necrons surged forward.
The vehicles suddenly sprung to life, their damage faked in order to lure out the necrons, and a hail of precision lance fire tore into the necron waves. Above the clouds, the necron air support was descended upon by a swarm of Dark Eldar craft, stripping the ground forces of their re-enforcements. From the lead raider on the ground, Azdrubael Vect stepped forward and hopped off the low flying skimmer. A quick hand gesture caused an eruption of his personal incubus guard from the craft as the group rushed into their advisaries without hesitation or mercy. The trap was set, and the outskirts of Commorragh had become Vect's personal playground.
Void Raven bombers descended from the skies to unleash punishing volleys of missiles and lance fire into the necrons ranks as Vect travelled from group to group dismembering and slaughtering anything that moved. Trying to hold out until their backup forces could turn the tide, the Necron commander bore down on Vect aloft his Command Barge. Vect countered by tossing off an extremely well placed Haywire grenade which knocked out the crafts prepulsion systems and sent it plummiting to the ground. The Necron Lord rose from the ashes unharmed, and Vect smiled to himself as he strode away from the protection of his Incubus guard in order to commit to a 1 on 1 duel. Before the two could meet however, a wave of lance fire from a Voidraven strafing run washed over the Necron and it vanished. Enraged by the loss of his fun, Vect threw himself back into the fray and hacked and slashed through the remaining Necron forces until a deathmark managed to slip a shot through Vect's shadowfield. Its leptonic beam skimmed Vect's head, destroying the right side of his face and dropping him to the ground unable to move. His backup Wych sqaud surged forward in their raider to pick him up and escort him from the battle. The last thing Vect saw before he lost conciousness was his Incubus rushing into the deathmarks that dropped him, intent on avenging their fallen leader.
In the end the Necron backup forces never arrived, having been driven off by the Dark Eldar airforces. It was a resounding victory for the Dark Eldar, with the fact that Vect had been near fatally wounded being concealed. Vect awoke fully healed the next day, reguvinated by the screams of an Eldar Farseer his men had recently captured. Vect's personal Haemonculus has spared no expense at the horrific torture of the captive in order to give Vect the best recovery possible. A fitting gift for the victor. For the next few days, his victory filled him with a new energy. By the passing of a week, the battle had already been forgotten. Within a month, Vect was praying for his next opportunity to break his boredom. So is Vect's curse.
