electronic books
so with books being electronic and going that way. I am trying to think of the best way to be able to use them while playing a game. What device works well in order to view the books but is the right size?

I have found that the iPad is generally pretty nice for reading, but I understand it isn't necessarily in everyone's price range.

My wife has a Kobo, works pretty well. I'm not totally fond of the set up. (It bumps up the font size for readability, but the BRB would be in the neighborhood of 2000-3000 pages. Tables would be pretty rough.
Itd depend on how the ebook was set up. I think GW basic format for the SM codex is the way to go with it. (havent seen an actual copy, but the videos and such seem to be be spot on.

Re: electronic books
we have an iPad2, an asus Transformer, a samsung android phone,a kobo, and an Ipod in our house and every single one of them are great for reading pdfs.
if you have scans of the codecies then any of them will do the job for you. (black and white kobo not so great for searching or graphics)
apple products tend to have longer battery lives in my experience. (nuthing beats the kobo though)
and if you are looking at official codexes and not scans, then you are going to need an iPad, as they only run on iBooks and only for the iPad, not the ipods or iphones.
I'm told if you own such a device that they are worth the buy. all of the entries have hotlinks, so if you click on a special rule, it will take you to its description and such.

Re: electronic books
The only legit versions are available in the apple store right now, so ipad is really the only way to go.
If you want illegal scans, then use whatever.
