Oh Tom, you had to be there. Since then its the same everytime.

Dark Angel > Chaos Marine (LASH!) > Orks (NOB BIKERS!) > Space Marines (VULKAN!) > Guard (everything!) > Space Wolves (Jaws!) > Grey Knights (everything!) > Necrons (EVERYTHING!)

Upon reviewing the Chariot rules, it seems that you cannot issue or receive a challenge while charioteering.

Also, for anyone that thinks Necrons are bad in this edition: Look at IG and the Allies system. Specifically Battle Brothers allies.

I issue orders to my Space Marrine/(Insert Chapter her). Pretty much any order they have works, save for "First Rank, Second Rank", as that is Las Guns only. "Fire on my Target" and "Bring it Down" are both viable. And the scary bit? You can pull this off with just taking the IG as a secondary detachment, just have your IG HQ tool around behind the scariest wall of Space Marines inside the relative safety of a Chimera.

I would like to see what would happen if I threw my Crons at that, truth be told. I mean, sure, there is a lot of concentrated fire that can come at me from that, but that is also your whole army inside one giant metal box, just waiting to collapse.

Check the FAQ. Orders are IG only.

Ah, that does sound like something that would get locked down quick in the FAQs, just like Hestan not suping up IG Melta and Flamers.

And that's 4 AV 14 metal boxes that can't move (thus WS 0) and immediately adjacent to each other (go go Death Rays and Doomsday Cannon!).

Take a look at the Imperial Guard Faq. YOu can only issue orders to a friendly IG unit. Have to look at Blood Angels, but I believe they are nerfing all the Imperial Codexes so "Battle-Brothers" isnt such a huge step in Allies.

EDIT: Yep, Blood Chalice only affect friendly units from Codex: Blood Angels. Basically Battlebrothers can have independant char from one codex join a unit from the allied codex. Thats about it.

Well that (they can confer some abilities to the unit they join) and psychic powers (some armies got a big boon) Allies are still pertty useful, also makes for some cool themed armies.

I had a good chuckle imagining the imperial guard commander issuing orders to space marines though Razz
