New to Rosetown

Hello, My wife and I moved to Rosetown a couple of years ago and I just recently got back into the hobby. I don't have my armies moved yet (apparently they are lower priority) but will have them in the middle of July. I have ~1500 points of Elday/Tau and ~5000 points of BT. I'll probably be looking for games 1-2 nights.

Welcome to the forum! At least in the time it takes you to get your armies moved over you can get yourself acquainted with the FAQs for your armies and the general shenanigans of 6th Ed.

Our next scheduled Tournament, if you're interested, is November. There'll be lots of people playing games between then, as well as the league ($5 entry fee, gets you a discount on all GW products at Dragon's Den (our FLGS), and is generally a good way to get games in with lots of new players).

If you're looking for a pickup game, feel free to post in the Thunderdome.

Indeed picked up the BRB on Saturday from "the Den". Played a 1000pt game with my brother over vassal last night to try and go through the new rules. Took like 3 hours to get to turn two, lol. We picked a lot of random stuff to get as many rules as possible (jump infantry, terrain, vehicles, walkers, skimmers, psychic powers, etc).

What day(s)/rule(s) do you have for the League? I tried to look on the forums for them, alas my search-fu is weak.

Isn't ToonCon the first weekend of October? Wouldn't that be next?

As long as somone is running it.. I was a bit frustrated last year so havent given go ahead.. I realy dont want to....

I wouldn't have any issues if we didn't do ToonCon, as I recall they kinda hosed us in regards to the prizes. It's usually easier to do in-house tournies anyways.
