Kit bashing fliers

I was looking for some advice as to the process of kit bashing/custom modeling armor and transport options for my army. I feel I have most of the bits needed to create my Night Scythes and a Triarch Stalker, but I need a way to craft a cockpit for the former. I would imagine that using Green Stuff on that scale would be impractical for both the act of modeling and my wallet, so I was wondering if there were any suggestions.

honestly, i'd wait on it tom; word is those models are going to be out in a month or two anyways, and you might kick yourself for kitbashing enough bits together to make a decent proxy, only to find your kitbash cost more than the official model did.

don't go the way of so many blood angel players that bought $200 of models to kitbash a model that was later released for only $75.

you won't like the bad taste in your mouth it leaves.

depending on what your making,... miliput is generally cheaper, and dries harder than greenstuff. with a bit of water it can also be smoothed into remarkably organic looking bits.

that said, crafting a useful looking cockpit out of it is more than likely beyond my own abilities.
